  1. Excited to see the team come together and play as a team. Last year it did not seem like they played that way until the last few games of the year. Hoping to see it from start to finish this year. Arch getting the ball to his playmakers (Coleman, Wingo and Mosley) Running backs finding the holes the oline has created and making people miss in open field. Defense attacking and causing havoc. If the above takes place, think we will be in for a fun and memorable season.
  2. I’ve been a member since Bobby & Gerry started OTF. First memory of Texas football was “Roll Left w/ James Brown”.
  3. Is Jhadyn Nelson a top recruit? For that many coaches to go and visit him, it seems he is of high priority. Is he the same level of LB prospect as Gouda?
  4. So true. The run game was working but both Baxter and Blue put the ball on the ground. That made Sark not trust the run at times. I don’t recall Brooks ever having that issue. What could have been!
  5. I still believe to this day that if Brooks does not go down with that season ending injury, TX would have beat Washington and played for the championship.
  6. I see the tweet says 5 star running back. How good is he? If he reclassified to 27, would he still be upper echelon such as Crowell from Alabama.
  7. Is there a scenario where Texas lands both Culpepper and Gouda? Or is it like Xavier Griffin and Atkinson where they won’t end up at the same school.
  8. I recently saw 5 star running back David Gabriel George included Texas in his finalist list. Was just curious if Texas was truly actively recruiting him or if this was just just done to make his list star studded. I don’t recall Gerry mentioning him when he talked about possible running back options for 27. He has Georgia, Miami, Tennessee, Ohio State, Bama etc. within his finalist. Just wondering if Texas will be making a strong push and would he be considered a true difference maker at the position.
  9. Legend Bey. He should have been offered this past summer on his name alone. Not to mention that Tennessee offered him. They have had some good receivers over the past couple of years.
  10. Maybe Sark should call a couple of QB run plays to get Arch going? From what I’ve seen of him, he does not start to become accurate until later on in the game after he has had time to settle down.
  11. Malcolm Brown. I remember when he committed to Texas. Was so excited. Thought he was going to be the next Cedric Benson. Must admit. He had a more memorable pro career than collegiate. Brandon Foster comes in second. Relatively unknown in his recruiting class to becoming a true player later on in college. Had a great senior season.
  12. I read an article that implied that Heze Kent was going to be an offensive tackle for the UF. Thought he was only considering schools that planned to let him play tight end. Or was the money too great to pass up to be an OT at Florida?
  13. You would think with Venables being on shaky ground, the uncertainty with the OU football program, and UT’s need for another end in this class, we might have the edge. Ole Miss will pay, but it just seems like we should be the obvious favorite.
  14. Realistically- Tyler Atkinson Samari Matthews Derek Cooper Brayden Rouse Longshots- Lamar Brown Jamarion Carlton Jalen Lott DB from California
  15. I thought Calicut was a safety/lb prospect. Does he have the speed to play corner?
  16. Which edge would essentially replace Colin Simmons? I’ve seen people say that Wesley will end up being a Jack. I was hoping we would get another pass rush specialist.
  17. Why does it seem that Texas is bringing in more highly ranked players on defense than offense right now. I always thought with Sark as the head coach, we would have 5 star after 5 star wanting to visit and play for Texas. However, it seems that Texas is getting higher quality talent of the defensive side (outside of the quarterbacks).
  18. This year we seem to be missing out on all the elite running backs. Last year it was the elite defensive linemen. The year before that it was wide receivers and the year before that it was offensive linemen. Trying to stack top five classes is not cheap or easy. Hopefully Texas will have a good season on the field, and match or beat some of these other programs for some of these elite guys.
  19. CJ, was it purely just lack of interest on Sanchez’s part towards Texas, or was it another reason he seemed to sour on TX. I mean after the last two years of playing well and developing talent, I would have thought he would have at list visited.
  20. Does Berymon and Guervil play the same position? I thought Berymon would be over the ball player.
  21. Is NIL the reason the WR are committing early? Keys, Burroughs and now Mack. I am pretty sure the kids are going to want to take visits at some point so I guess we will wait see how this plays out by the end of summer.
  22. Did not know him personally but I am truly surprised how things turned out for him. From all the interviews he gave and how people at Desoto high school talked about him, I would not have thought it would had gone sideways so fast. I know people change and you never truly know someone unless you spend time with them. It’s just really shocking and sad. He was my favorite recruit in his class outside of Arch of course.
  23. If this happens, then Terry Joseph would more than likely move to the safeties coach?
  24. CJ or Gerry, When covering him in high school, was this type of attitude observed. I know sometimes a person can change, but I was just curious if this was something he has been dealing with or if this is recent. It does seem like he is spiraling out of control.
