  1. My thoughts exactly. Bo was a great coach, but not much of a recruiter. Let’s give Coach Baker a shot.
  2. I agree I hope the switch flips for Sydir as well. I also hope it flips with Broughton and Collins. Collins is on a different level than Sydir and Broughton, but I hope he hits another gear.
  3. The way I see it Sark got the heads up or knows much more about this man than we do. We should trust in Sark he hasn’t let us down so far. Do they all work out absolutely not. With that said I don’t see the need for a melt down. We made it to the CFP for the first time and the Big 12 championship since 2009. So we should trust the system instead of fret over it just because we did not make a splash with a big name.
  4. I would like to comment on the State of the Program as a whole not just the podcast. These are exciting times. It has been a good while that we have had such a good time talking about Longhorn football. Sure there were players here and there that were exciting and hopes elevated at times just to take a tumble. Sark has been a good fortune for this program. It lacked discipline, with a sense of entitlement not to mention the culture was something that had been forgotten. I think the State of this Program is in a great place and is on the right track to greatness. It is a fun program to talk about and be a part of which makes this forum that much more fun to hang out in and converse with all of you. Hook’em
  5. I could see it if playing the interior line, but at end he needs to maintain his quickness, flexibility, and speed. With to much bulk you start sacrificing those qualities.
  6. Thank you Gus. I wasn’t familiar with a couple of those either.
  7. Very interesting. Could Wright be getting promoted, maybe why he stayed. Who knows.
  8. It’s 0316 hrs. And OU still sux!
  9. This is very true about Oregon. Just felt he was not as interested in Texas as most thought. Maybe he is hiding his hand really well and he is a Longhorn before long.
  10. I trust in Sarks plan, but I sure thought it would be done by now.
  11. Bobby, I am a very optimistic guy… to a fault sometimes, but I never felt very confident about Muhammad landing here. I hope I’m wrong and would gladly eat crow in this situation. I just felt a different vibe from him, much different than I did with our current portal commits. Almost more like a social visit here.
  12. Welcome to the 40 acres Tiaoalii… Hook’em
  13. Looks to have a wing span and long strider. Definitely looks to me he has plenty of room to grow.
  14. So CJ are we thinking he is out of the conversation at this point?
  15. I was wondering the same thing THookem.
  16. Glad to have you cheering for the Burnt Orange. I admit it has been hard to do before Sark arrived. Been a long dry spell of the winning tradition. I am some what of a fair weathered fan when it comes to Cowboys ( whole different conversation) but cheered for the horns through the good and bad.
  17. I live in Arkansas as well but I am a transplant. Born in Texas and lived there 50 years.
  18. Get set… go.
  19. Sure is intriguing for sure. One would think it’s Rod. If it is not Rod that would really be confounding. If it’s a NFL guy you only have four teams left playing and I’m not sure the coach is on any of those remaining NFL teams. No college teams obviously playing. So logically it seems to be Rod, but if not I wouldn’t have a clue.
  20. I agree as well. Quinn I believe will make bigger strides this year with his decision to return. Quinn is a really good QB, but did have room to improve in some phases of his game. I am excited for his final step to be taken this year in college. He will have plenty of targets and should have a tremendous year. Hook’em
  21. Maybe Tiaoalii will make a decision before to long. Excited as to hear Muhammad’s decision as well.
  22. Yes sir. I am retired and a huge sports fan. But nothing to the level of a Longhorn fan. It’s the off season, but is it really. Forums like this let us discuss, theorize, armchair coach, and swap tales about what should be done. So I don't believe it’s really off season anymore. Allows us to transition those winter months into mid April when it starts to pick back up a bit and then through summer. I believe this will be great for the diehard and casual Longhorn fans.
  23. Young man has some length and seems to be very versatile.
  24. Glad to hear he coming to the 40 acres. Hook’em
  25. I believe as this train keeps rolling the portal will be just a supplemental use.
