  1. I think it's very possible that we underestimated regional pull for the players or even missing the playoffs this year. Allieggro and Peak stayed generally in the same region. The rest of the players stayed with their said team. Money has played a bigger role in retention than it has in acquisition which is something to note as well.
  2. It's not the WR that's concerning as much as not getting the elite OL or LB in the portal which are arguably our 2 biggest needs. Either we have been pretty unlucky with targets or there is something else going on we aren't talking about. I'm not quite sure yet.
  3. True but the cream of the crop will be gone in 2 weeks. We'll just be filling bodies after that.
  4. Bobby and Gerry mentioned during this morning's show our NIL offer for the LB Alliegro that we lost out on was considerably more. It could very well be regional but I pose the question because we haven't seen players flocking to us either with the $, the OB/offense, SEC, brand, culture, education, and city advantage that we supposedly have. Something seems off right now and we only have 8 days to fill all the roster spots (outside of the playoff teams).
  5. With the exodus of players including potential starters and reports our NIL packages have been better than other schools players are picking, a question to ask is whether Texas is still considered a desirable destination right now for the elite players in the portal. And if not, why is that? This is clearly not just about money anymore. So is it Muschamp? Sark? Nanzen? Flood? Or us not making the playoffs this year? Or is the culture in the locker room not what we think? It just seems off that we are whiffing as much as we are with big $ offers along side everything else on top of our retention rate.
  6. I can’t believe Jordan was 10 miles away from the worker that eventually helped him to the hospital (according to his wife). How he was able to get to the worker with the severity of his of his condition is miraculous. It shows that warrior spirit he’s always had.
  7. I'm all for Miller shaking up the lineups and playing the guys that will play hard every minute they are in. It's going to take more than a season to learn how to play proper defense but they can at least rebound and hussle for balls.
  8. I watched the game for 7 game minutes last night and had to shut it off. It's hard to watch that team play defense.
  9. I hope it's Bo Barnes.
  10. Hope Jordan is ok. 🙏
  11. Rod B our Longhorn treasure 🤘
  12. Lee, Booker, and Harmon didn't shoot bad today. They just got careless with the ball for that 5 minute stint in the 4th qtr when ole miss came back. Crump will be good to have but more for depth this year so Booker and Lee can get some breathers. Her missing so many games will hurt her development this year unfortunately. She'll be ready to go offensively this year but she's got a ways to go defensively before she can get big minutes in Vic's defensive scheme. If she wouldn't have gotten injured, she'd probably already be almost ready by now. I hope she can start that development counter.
  13. McMahon is a baller. Wouldn't be surprised if she makes the all-SEC team at the end of the season. It was a good game for us until that 5 min stretch where the team looked unfocused. They might have been fatigued because they don't usually lack intensity like that. But I'll take another W.
  14. The drops he had in the Michigan game didn’t help his cause. The WR market is so inflated and Cam Coleman is about to blow up even more.
  15. The issue with this team is pretty clear. We can’t defend and when we do defend, we keep fouling. It’s a defensive IQ and technique issue with almost all of the guys on the roster. The effort is there but at this level, that’s not enough. Honestly the guys could learn a lot from watching our women. Watching Lee, Booker, and Harmon defend is beautiful to watch. The attention to detail and intention on defense is much better. You can tell most of our guys have not been taught the proper footwork, hand position/discipline, and leverage particular off picks. It’s a product of AAU not teaching these guys proper defense early so Miller and staff gotta either recruit more Europeans or teach and develop these guys more defensively. Offense is not a problem right now but we won’t win any games in the SEC giving up 100pts. That’s just the reality this year.
