    Gerry mentioned him earlier. Having an interim coach become a head coach rarely works. Coming from the NBA to college rarely works. Does CDC make a second straight risky hire? He checks a lot of boxes, but that’s my biggest concern.

    You do realize Kansas spent millions in the portal last year. They are about to drop out of the top 25. Two of their “best” recruits average six points a piece.

    Problem is they took a risk with Terry, do they take another risk? NBA to college almost never works. However, he’s passionate about the school (Will take less money), would most likely unite everybody ( how long is the question) and can talk to any kid wanting to get to the league with credibility. He’s played and coached in the NBA. I worry about his lack of connections with Texas high schools though.

    Gerry based of your Nate Oats comments Texas needs somebody passionate about the school (taking a lower salary), and somebody very good at identifying players that can do more for the team at a lower price.

    Who? Let me just state my expectations. Consistently finishing in the top half of the SEC. Mississippi State has a higher NIL. A&M’s top six players include four players that have been together three years. That’s unheard of in today’s world. Texas Tech is in the top ten. JT Toppin.

    He’s done. It’s not the boos. When you have fans leave eight minutes early on your home court that gets you in trouble. Best way to force a change is with your money. Sean Miller with the same NIL? It would produce better results, but over the long haul I don’t see it. He’s 58 and far removed from his days at Arizona, a basketball school by the way, and he’s not killing it at Xavier. I don’t see him consistently finishing in the top half of the conference consistently. A conference that currently has three football schools at the top. Gerry likes him and I would love to be wrong, because that means Texas is winning at a high level. I just don’t think Texas is that interested in being at that level. If they are, they aren’t paying enough to get to that level. Just my opinion.

    He asked what offensive sets they are running. Not much I can do with that. Been decades since I have heard that term in basketball.

    First of all nobody refers to basketball offense as sets anymore. You are about three decades behind on that.

    I have had numerous back and forth dialogue with you about basketball this year. If that was a joke it certainly did not come off that way. Let’s just leave it at that. I do not like getting into back and forth insults. We can agree to disagree on Sean Miller. Let’s just leave it at that and move on.

    I know and I love your post. Hey I have no problem with people saying we need a new coach. If they are going to attack me personally then I will test their basketball knowledge. There was a guy on here tonight saying they need to fix their offense. Tyler simply asked for a suggestion. The response was the offense that scores. That sums it up nicely.

    They are not more talented. They do not have a point guard. They do not have a center. Did you see those high ball screens they ran with Shedrick? It never worked and that’s because he is to slow to actually get the ball.

    I am fine with that. He wants to make it personal though. And if he can’t tell me what offense is being run by both teams then why should I think he has anything to offer that makes basketball sense?

    Yep and we will be middle of the pack and getting to the tournament and possibly winning a game. Not nearly enough for me.

    I would hope so, but I need to actually see it. CDC says he wants to win a championship in every sport. Gerry literally said nobody has ever talked national championship in Texas mens basketball.
