  1. It’s a guess, but maybe they are trying to get him another game off. Guess we will see.
  2. Mississippi State, reportedly has a higher NIL. Actually, if memory serves Beard briefly made more than Sark. I think he made four and a half million a year. Ole Miss pays him five million.
  3. Barnes old stomping grounds.
  4. I am good. Went out and watched some high school playoff basketball.
  5. Nope they are on a budget. I am assuming Sean Miller is fine with it.
  6. Jai Lucas to Miami? https://x.com/adamzagoria/status/1893441546101440713?s=46
  7. That pretty much sums it up.
  8. Brad Stevens. Sure he turned Indiana down but it’s Texas. He’ll love the city and will accept the low NIL, low salary, and since all he has to do is make the tournament, he will love having no pressure!
  9. They are not raising their NIL. Would love to see how Moser does at a school that gives him more money.
  10. What were the rebound stats? Went to a high school game halfway through the first half. Tennessee was only allowing one shot.
  11. That was at Arizona which is a basketball school. Totally different than a football school. And let’s be honest, there were also other reasons kids went there. Is it legal now? Yeah it is. However, what you said at the end is what I needed to know. Texas is still not interested in putting all the resources necessary to have an elite program. They want to use as little money as possible and somehow get an occasional sweet sixteen every three years. They don’t seem interested in consistently being in the top half of the SEC on a consistent basis. The top of the SEC are all football schools. Alabama, Auburn(Football based but not good at it), and Florida. And what happens when Coach Miller needs that other guy? What happens when they tell him no? What does he do? Does he find some other way to get that guy? Texas sounds like a job where you don’t have to do too much to keep them happy. Honestly if Sean Miller comes, then he will have to get use to a lot less winning than he had at Arizona. Just my message board opinion. This budget business drives me crazy, because that type of bs is not what I want Texas basketball to be at all. I will say it again. It sounds like Tom Penders. Put a product that’s exciting to watch and try to give us a couple of wins in the tournament every now and then. And for the record Penders only got Texas to the sweet sixteen twice. He won that game once, his second year here.
  12. It’s not like Sean Miller doesn’t have a past as well. Not exactly killing it at Xavier.
  13. What is going on at Adidas?
  14. Kaluma and Pryor are listed as probable for tomorrow. Weaver is still out.
  15. Gerry says it’s Scott Drew. Who’s much better.
  16. Extremely dangerous game.
  17. Exactly. They are not committed to winning in basketball at a high level. There is the frustration in a nut shell.
  18. He’s still young for a coach. My hope is, if a move is made, Texas gets a ten to fifteen year coach.
  19. Thanks for bringing 2011 up!
  20. @Gerry Hamilton so considering what happened to Beard, would CDC be hypersensitive to the pasts of previous coaches?
  21. Well Tech had no problem doing it.
  22. The best way to prove that is to simply watch them. They play like guys that do not get a lot of money.
  23. Thanks for clearing that up. Some of these names just indicate a lack of research.
  24. I think he would say no, and Tech fans would never shut up about it.
