  1. It’s called coach speak because every coach does it. Listening to pressers and expecting anything illuminating would be very frustrating. People never seem to get angry with coach speak after a big win. Wonder why?
  2. Your press conference expectations are a bit high.
  3. We did against OU. For whatever reason we matched up well with them, got Wisner loose, then suddenly Arch could breathe in the pocket. I have no doubt we would have done the same last night. But 12 for 37 ain’t getting it done for your lead back.
  4. This blame the messenger crap is ridiculous. I’ll keep a close eye next spring and summer on coaches who’ll announce they’re weak in particular areas, don’t trust certain players and question perceived strengths. And during the season I’ll let everyone know when a coach openly blasts individual players and questions a team’s character during pressers. PS, that ain’t how the world works.
  5. Okie’s front seven looked particularly good today. I guess South Carolina has no heart, courage or discipline.
  6. That’s still an aspiration for him. Colt and Chase didn’t really bounce back to the practice squad regularly. In fact, both signed very nice contracts to be QB2s regularly.
  7. Brown was responsible for rule changes effective to this day in lacrosse. He was that good.
  8. Left out with 3 losses? Thems the breaks.
  9. Yes, we need laws to protect owners from making business decisions. Also, let’s have congress set caps on player compensation in college football while allowing for eight figure buyouts for coaches not to coach. Sorry, but I believe in free enterprise.
  10. Yes, until we see an all-Pro QB playing at an all-Pro level on defense we won’t see anything better.
  11. It’s always pathetic when someone says “it’s all over the interwebs” and swallows it whole.
  12. Where did I say he did it? I have no clue he did or did not. I also have no clue whether anyone did. I was simply saying that unless I was sure I wouldn’t name names. Simple as that. I don’t know how to simplify it more so you can comprehend it better. And “it must be so, it was on the internet” is ultimate conspiracy theorist trash. Try to keep up, sport.
  13. You’re making baseless claims on Stearns. That’s a pretty good start. Yes, there were rumors that recruits were told by some players not to come. But no names were ever mentioned. My guess is it was probably guys who were in the Herman doghouse for any number of issues. But I’m not going to name anyone I’m not certain they did it. Nor would I name a name and follow it up with “you do your research”. Because that translates into “I don’t have a clue, but so and so seems the type”.
  14. Because if you don’t know who was told not to come, you don’t know who did the telling either. You’re just wrapping yourself in some rumor that reinforces your animosity towards Sterns. One thing sports has taught me is politics doesn’t matter on the field. If you play hard and your teammates trust you, it’s all good by me.
  15. You said “who didn’t he tell”. That would imply he told everyone.
  16. Did he tell Bijan or Roschon not to come to UT. Since he told “everyone” and all.
  17. Who did he tell not to come to UT? And the whole Eyes of Texas issue was across the team.
  18. Actually I think Ehlinger was a Herman kind of QB whose talents were maximized.
  19. Seriously though, he probably would’ve thrived more under Sark than Herman.
  20. Is that his son with him? Seems old enough. 😜
  21. Thanks, ace! So helpful. Once more, apologies.
  22. Why did you edit my post when you quoted it? Did it hurt you badly? Once more, apologies.
  23. I didn’t mean to hurt you. Apologies.
  24. Bitter much, cupcake?
