  1. Which ones come to mind, particularly those evil owners.
  2. Funny, I've read tons of stuff on Kraft, Irsay and Haslam for all kinds of issues. You miss out on those?
  3. And what a role model he is!
  4. Isn't that the case with most franchise/HOF level QBs?
  5. So far no one has gone to jail. And all of Favre’s misdeeds were or came out after his playing days were over. And, yes, he’s a scumbag too.
  6. So the top team in the B12 would be in the lowest quartile in the SEC?
  7. When 61K is your stadium capacity it tells you a whole lot more about the conference than the school.
  8. I think we’re headed for different conferences in certain sports.
  9. It’s a problem for many. But that’s why there’s FCS, D2 and D3. One of my sons played at a D3 school and had a blast. I don’t think they even charged admission.
  10. I went back on IT to when I'd wait for the newsletter to be delivered in the mail each week back in the '90s. Got fed up when Nahlin and the Recruitocasm crowd took over in the early '10s and the journalistic standards went to hell. Followed Jeff over to 247 and now here. Can't wait for the board meltdowns over there!
  11. Let's hope folks in Oxford, Athens, Tuscaloosa and Gainesville forget to compare rentals in Austin.
  12. I try to avoid disparaging terms like sabotage when describing discussing former coaches. Especially when I’m a little vague on the details/truth. But you do you. You clearly have the moral high ground here.
  13. One only ones I remember were recruits after he resigned and we were still in limbo as far as who the new coach would be. New staffs have been known to rescind offers. So “trying to sabotage the roster” Mack suggested it might be a good time to reassess - the horror! As far as school vs coach I take it you’re unfamiliar with the Dave McWilliams/John Mackovic/Charlie Strong/Tom Herman eras.
  14. I think he was going to retire had we won that game. To this day he really felt we had a far more talented squad - history suggests otherwise. He let that loss eat at him and lost his bearings. Ironically, Mus has proven he wouldn’t have done much better. And a weak admin didn’t help. Think CDC would have put up with those antics? Not for a minute. Funny that it played out similarly at UNC this year. But “trying to sabotage the roster” is a bit off the rails.
  15. Yep. He was awful. Naming that street outside the stadium for him is a travesty.
  16. So who did he tell to transfer? And I don’t doubt he was avoiding the heat in Austin. But somehow he wasn’t telling Percy Hardin to go to Florida. Mack did a lot of bitter stuff at the end. But a strong admin/AD could have nipped that in the bud.
  17. Who all left? I remember Charlie unloading a bunch of guys but I don’t recall any player of substance leaving or being told they should leave. I also remember him trying to recruit a Florida kid right before the infamous Red Banquet.
  18. How did Mack try to destroy the roster?
  19. Curious how you’d rank our head coaches over the last 80 years.
  20. That's what worries me most about Quinn. Early on he played heavier but felt the need to drop to the 200-205 range. Perhaps now that he's older he can keep the good weight on.
  21. If I recall correctly those two first round edge guys of Georgia played up to their billing.
  22. It really depends on the circumstances. I know no one in Tenn wanted Kiffen to succeed at USC, and Sark had no fans at Wash. Think LSU fans were rooting for Saban? Do tell!
  23. Then they went through spring drills and came to the conclusion Nico wasn’t worth the raise or the drama. Nico’s team badly misjudged his value and misplayed their leverage. Now they’ll be lucky to find a lateral in terms of comp and profile.
