Watching the Oregon debacle on the ESPN unlimited feed, which means no voiceovers but you hear everything from the stadium. The former is nice but the between plays music in Stillwater is unbearable.

Something was up after he was listed as an “or” starter at WR3 week 1. My guess his he doesn’t have any chemistry with Mateer as he did Arch.

I was in a dentist’s chair in midtown Manhattan. When I was checking out the dentist popped out and said some plane hit one of the towers, everyone kind of shrugged and thought it was some private plane gone awry. By the time I got back to our office the second plane hit and the tone got way worse. A couple of our traders were on the phone with guys in the towers who ended up not making it. Everything stopped cold. We watched the news for a few hours absolutely silent outside of some sobbing. Around noon we went a few blocks to the Red Cross to donate blood. The line was already around the block and they were sending people away. They started running trains to the burbs where every train was local and they just filled them up and sent them. We were with many people covered in dust from the collapse. As a town we were fortunate, less than two dozen died. And no one from our church or elementary school. But our church offered our cathedral to any nearby church who had capacity issues. I remember the entire region being in a walking coma for weeks. It wasn’t until Christmas season that things began to feel back to normal.

Conferences were around long before CCGs, so I doubt it. Unless CFB gets some sort of antitrust exemption or there is a collective bargaining agreement, conferences are the only governing body the courts respect.

Don’t forget that the NFL likes expanding their broadcast windows in December. And crushes CFB in ratings. Even in the 12 team format those first round games get beat by NFL games in the same weekend. ESPN will likely need to sublet some of those early round games to manage inventory. The World Cup didn’t need to worry about an alternate version of their sport.

SEC will be a hurdle. Eliminating the CCG for a couple more first round games will be a fight.

LSU needs the SEC more than the SEC needs LSU. They’re not in the same position as Florida, Georgia, Bama or Texas. The Big 10 didn’t want them, and they’ll never have the same revenue in the ACC or B12. Independent? Hahahaha

This is a message to the LSU administration to get your coach in line. No more, no less.

Folks who think they’re better than others because they were in a frat or sorority are ridiculous. So are people who think they’re better than others because they weren’t.

Imagine coming in with Chris Simms and Cory Redding and going out when Jordan Shipley is a true freshman.

I agree. His winning percentage as a starter was a whole lot better than Fisher’s overall was.

Lots of QBs have flourished on their 2nd or even 3rd or 4th stop. Vince battled maturity issues even at Texas, and was never an elite passer. He had a clean start at Philly under one of the greatest QB whisperers and even that didn’t work out. Interestingly there was an A Football Life which featured both Vince and Matt Leinart. They both admitted they didn’t work hard enough to achieve the success they had in college in the NFL. I love Vince, and he took Texas to levels we hadn’t seen in decades. That doesn’t mean you’re guaranteed a successful run in the NFL.

I thought it was pretty fair. Definitely confirmed Fisher as an a-hole. But also made it clear VY didn’t put in the work to be a franchise QB.
