Wow… I’m in disbelief. Love that guy. I’m not sure how much the kid was asking for, but based on his ability to slay Oklahoma and Texas A&M alone, I would’ve brought him back. Unless he was demanding to be RB 1 or RB 1 $$$? He clearly showed this year that his body cannot take the physicality and beating of being RB 1 though ☹️

Not a ND fan… not ashamed to admit my disdain for them. The MOU for the playoff is unacceptable. Frankly, I don’t believe they deserve any CFP Consideration until they join a Conference and play a Competitive Conference schedule like every other team. I don’t believe Texas or any other team should be scheduling them out-of-conference either to give them more “Strength of Schedule”…that is simply being an enabler to a Spoiled program … Here’s to Hoping Freeman jets to the NFL! I do think that things like this push the envelope even further that these kids are indeed employees of their respective institutions and collective bargaining should be on the horizon.

I simply don’t like it. That’s just me. The messaging it sends. Announcing returning players as “re-signings” normalizes college football as pure pay-for-play professionalism, eroding the last pretense of amateurism and the student-athlete tradition... the student-athlete tradition which is an illusion, I know….. we are at pay for play. Just my opinion.
