  1. Texas is at 9 players drafted currently? Realistic finish probably 11?
  2. Kind of shows how stacked Ohio st and Texas were last year that their QBs still haven’t been drafted yet and they were playing at that high a level.
  3. He's betting on himself, good luck to the young man. Though I agree with others that he would have been best served to redshirt and then takeover after he gained more development. Fans were ready to run off Michael Dickson after his freshman campaign and by the time he left Texas was considered one of, if not, the best punters in the country.
  4. The offense seems to be very hot and cold, they'll run rule a team one game, and then struggle to score the next. Need consistency in the WCWS for sure.
  5. Iowa Hawkeyes with a back to back? And is that Florida Atlantic in 2091?
  6. I'd be curious what ChatGPT is using as the data for the predictions. AI is super interesting to me.
  7. Most of these quotes sound like a fair number of the critiques that posters on OTF have had. The quotes sound like he would be a lifetime backup with the occasional start. This isn't a bad thing, many people have made that a good career and been successful in life. I agree with the previous poster that his arm strength seems to have been impacted by injuries. Otherwise his 1.000 recruiting rating wouldn't have made sense.
  8. Also cool, but I think Whittington and Skinner are arguably two of the most popular Longhorns in recent years which makes them a powerful PR combo.
  9. The first match up with Georgia, they flat out curb stomped Texas on every level. The second matchup was more even keel, but for the defense to hold Georgia to minimal points and Texas to walk into halftime with a 3 point lead if I remember correctly was detrimental. QE was a huge part of that. Quinn is Quinn, he's more of a game manager, knows the playbook, and read the defense type QB. Anyone expecting him to escape the pocket and have Patrick Mahomes type plays will be disappointed. Additionally, he's not a gun slinger like Brett Favre where he goes after 50/50 balls expecting his receiver to win most of the time. What I think most Texas fans (reasonable ones at least, and I put myself in this category) were at least expecting, was for Quinn to know how to manage the pocket and step up/roll out/ buy a little time a la Peyton Manning or Tom Brady. No one expected those guys to take it to the house 50 yards, but the defense at least had to respect the QB escaping. It seemed like - if you could collapse the pocket on Quinn, you had a sack, every fricking time. Reminds me of when ou used to run the belldozer package with Blake Bell. I don't think he threw it once and for the life of me I could not understand why defenses didn't just play man on the 2 WRs and stack the box because they obviously weren't stopping him with the regular defensive alignments. But this is all last season. We're obviously not going to agree, so agree to disagree on Quinn and be excited about this next season.
  10. My guess is they are probably hearing about all the big NIL numbers being thrown out by programs.
  11. Tells you how I lack in the social media skills department lol.
  12. According to the volleyball forum, Jordan Whittington is dating former Texas Volleyball star Madisen Skinner. I don't have TikTok so I can't validate but word is she posted a video of them together. Not trying to predict the future, but if they do end up together, would they rival the athletic prowess of the Aaron & Sonya Richards-Ross? I know Jake Majors is/was dating volleyball player Jenna Wenaas but no one else gets as much University of Texas media attention as the Ross'.
  13. Someone in TOS saying Mwenentanda entered the portal.
  14. If Kavan can’t pitch everyday in the CWS, Texas’ road will be much tougher. I dunno what happened this past offseason, but seems every other pitcher on the staff just gives up runs galore.
  15. but they are saying Mateer is the next Heisman candidate!
  16. You gotta think Vic's gonna try to figure out how to get over the hump after knocking on the door a few times. It took Coach Elliott in volleyball multiple final fours before he won his first natty in 2012, and now he's got 3.
  17. Wonder how those sooner equivalents of aggy billy will spin this.
  18. Being an aggy for life
  19. If that Alabama rumor is true, I hope he ends up there. Will be more a cancer than help to that program.
  20. Like CJ said, it's not like he lit the world on fire last year. He was pretty f'ing terrible in a number of games. Such entitlement. And I imagine his O-line wouldn't be all too excited to block for him if he comes back to the team.
  21. Leavitt single handedly kept ASU in the game imo. You also have to consider the talent around him - he was down his 1st receiver, his RB was throwing up, and his O-line was a subpar big 12 group. Put him behind that Georgia O-line with the weapons they have and he's going to be really dangerous.
  22. To me it was a disappointment in that Coach Eilliott said that was the deepest team he's ever fielded. Though most volleyball pundits would argue the team that won the natty led by Eggleston, O'Neal, and Skinner would have been the deepest squad he's ever had. Melanie Parra was a subbing specialist on that team, that's how deep that team was.
  23. And the lone Texas win was on home court and squeaked it out in the final seconds. The SC wins were all over by mid 4th quarter at the latest. Reminds me of Aston's teams against Mulkey's Baylor Bears for years.
  24. CDC is masterful at this - there are price points for all levels. If you just want family time and not break the bank, there are options. If you have extra money and don't mind spending it, there are also options.
  25. And if she could also get a shot, or if she's got it, be more confident in taking it because SC just basically dared her to shoot every time they played. Her ability to drive is strong, but when they back off, it negates her effectiveness.
