    Curious to know what the mods think about the guys coming in a year early. Other than NIL I don't think it helped Ewers. Do you view it as an overall positive or negative for either the player or the school? I guess the really talented guys get a year head start on going to the league, and an early start on S&C and nutrition.

    I think OU has laid it down for the year. Don't think they even want to be bowl eligible.

    I lived in Arkansas for 2 years and you don't really understand the hatred for Texas until you are there and see it. Hating Texas is a full time job for those pigs. All I can say is we better be ready the second the foot hits leather on the kickoff, none of these slow starts and early turnovers.

    Interesting. I never thought of that but could be a possibility depending on what his draft grade is. Arch has to be the guy next year and if Quen's draft grade is low he could have a decision to make. I don't think he is ready for the NFL because of his pocket awareness and lack of strength under duress in the pocket, he'll get killed in the NFL. He has a good enough arm, but not a lot of instinct of how to extend plays.

    Make the coaches that want to cry to the refs about every call use a timeout when they want to question a call, otherwise leave the refs alone. No penalties for end zone celebrations or taunting. If you keep the penalty make it loss of td. and yardage from start of play. Have the computers pick playoff teams. The committee meets once a year and sets the data that goes in and the computers pick the teams and seeding based on that. Personally I would heavily weight pre-conference SOS. Strictly enforce sideline rules for coaches, no warning just 15 yard penalty if rule is violated. Multi year Nil contracts that have portal limitations.

    I would be good with our offense methodically working the ball downfield as long as we score touchdowns. As good as our defense is that’s a winning plan.

    I think this is the most important game in Sark's time at Texas. He really needs to get to the aggy game with only the loss to Georgia. Back to back losses would really set us back. Unlikely, but possible, aggy gets to our game with only one loss then we need to only have one loss also. Lot of teams with only one loss, so lots of scenarios could play out and a Texas team with 2 losses is in a tough spot. This is truly a must win for Sark.

    I bumped this thread to see if anything has changed with Fasusi? I talk to a OU fan who is tuned in to their recruiting and he tells me they are very worried about Fasusi flipping to Texas. The guy isn't a BMD, but is very knowledgeable about OU recruiting.

    This trend has to continue, we need to make DKR a place no one wants to come to play a game.

    As mentioned upthread TOP was key in this game. Bama only had the ball for 17:52 min. In the game. That’s a really remarkable stat. Even if Bama doesn’t have a ++ running game they have talent to control more clock than that.

    I'm with you, look how much better passer he is than when he got to Alabama. Just because he goes pro doesn't mean he won't keep improving. I think he could end up QB or RB depending on who drafts him.

    I know this is a college board but it is Texas so you gotta put the Cowboy fans right up there with all of them. I haven't tried to reason with one for years, I mean they still think they are winning Super Bowls.
