A 24-team College Football Playoff is close according to a report from Pete Thamel.

And the new CFP landscape would be in place for the 2027 season.

Correct

Weak

I always thought 16 was the right number.  Oh well inward. More football is fine by me.

Indiana is going to hear that they are required to play a P4 non-conference opponent and sprint to schedule Boston College or Stanford as fast as they can.

It's about time....do away with CCGs

Odd to skip 16 and go straight to 24

24-team playoff? We finally found a way to make 8-4 feel special.

Why stop there?

Let's do 68 teams, let Dick Vitale announce the bracket, and call it March Sadness.

First Four Out. Last Four In. Joe Lunardi updates every Tuesday.

Vanderbilt fans are already printing playoff shirts.

24-will reopen it for bidding or will ESPN figure a way to make it work to retain all games?

what restraints are on the teams and how many guaranteed spots for which conferences?

That is probably coming

Embarrassing. Can this at least drop ticket prices? I'm not paying $500+ anymore for non-conference games that don't mean crap
