  1. What a slap in the face for Luka, but I don't blame the Mavs. If Luka won't work out to stay in shape and you are forced to give him a long term max contract your team is screwed. Your leader sets the tone. Barkley won zero titles for the same reason. Lazy stars kill franchises.
  2. You know what is a good look? Running a 4.3 at the combine. Blue might not be a diplomat, but he showed up for games. He will be fine imo.
  3. Hold on there @Gerry Hamilton, are you saying the young man is in for a money whipping? I will support that!
  4. Texas has a 5 star Sophomore starting at RT, and a future day 1 pick (my opinion) Soph at LT. Baker and Goosby are going to chase some other recruits away. That is just a fact.
  5. I am not sure that is fair. Terry and January are definitely "high end".
  6. Sellers is my early no. 1. What an athlete! Manning should catch up quickly with some experience.
  7. Howe needs to commit first to either growing a beard or shaving his chin. What is this in between nonsense??? Please don't employ him until he decides!! This kind of wishy washiness can't be tolerated IMHO
  8. An era of meritocracy is coming so this won't survive. I don't think we will even have a Federal Department of Education soon if the new administration keeps their promises.
  9. I love Quinn. I just typed that neither QB should be run down and they are both great Longhorn QBs. That didn't stop you from not comprehending and being a dick though. Read more.
  10. Remember the LSU game against Burrow. Sam was magnificent. Quinn was not better "by a long shot".
  11. You guys saying that Sam can't make all the throws have to answer a simple question- how is Sam still in the NFL? Sam and Quinn are both firmly entrenched as the best Texas QBs not named James, Vince or Colt. Sam would have done well in Sark offense and added a dual threat ability. Quinn has intangibles that Sam didn't possess in the passing game. There is no reason to throw out this hypothetical if you want to run down a specific QB because they are both winners.
  12. Ewers needs another year in college. He is not ready for.pro ball imo.
  13. I think that is very fair, but this USC kid is a take in the portal no matter what your line looks like.
  14. I don't think you know that for a fact. The team could always use great players, but I bet Flood will have them ready to roll next year. Goosby will be all-SEC caliber next year. Baker, Agbo, Cruz, Robertson, and Neto will be ready to go as well. edit- forgot Hutson and Cojoe!!
  15. I think Jackson is a special player and he, just like Simmons, is ready the moment he hits the 40 acres.
  16. The last game highlighted something to me. Moore is very fast. Az St's QB was a fabulous athlete who could really run. He was running away from most of our guys- but not Moore. Moore actually ran him down from behind one time.
  17. The Skataboo TD where he was pulled in was equally as big.
  18. I can't believe nobody responded with how Simms would have won by 5 touchdowns.
  19. Major would have won this game by four touchdowns.
  20. @Roysterr I agree- the team can be better next year. The biggest holes to fill will be OL and S. QB, RB, WR, TE, Edge, LB, CB should fine. Mukuba is the biggest loss imo. Goosby is the next great LT and should succeed Banks nicely. The offense should be more explosive and effective with a dual threat QB. The defense should be equally as good if the young guy really step up and Sark scores in the portal in the Spring.
  21. Nobody here can defend Carter's presidency. The Democrats didn't like him much either and tried to primary him. If Edward Kennedy weren't such a bad candidate then I don't think Carter would have been able to run for president again in 1980. Having said that I don't think any of us could say that Carter was a bad man. He was the product of a racist Democrat Party and he is one of the men that changed the party to inclusiveness. To be a white Democrat in Georgia in the 1960s and run for the civil rights of all men was a brave act. Carter was also married for 77 years which I think is very admirable. Carter was a lifelong opponent of capital punishment. Since our federal government and our state governments have executed many innocent people I appreciated Carter's work in in this area. I say this as a conservative Republican who doesn't want government to have the power to kill people. Carter did a lot of good work with the Habitat for Humanity charity to help build homes for people in a way that did not use tax dollars. I don't know anybody who would disagree with this effort. Carter also spent a great deal of time fighting for fair elections around the world which helps spread democracy and freedom. I didn't appreciate Carter's politics and I would never vote for him but anybody can see that he was a great man who lived a remarkable life. RIP Jimmy Carter.
  22. I loved missing curfews and driving too fast in empty parking garages.
  23. Now that is interesting. It is going to be hard for the players to not look past this game. This is a trap game for sure.
  24. Yep, he needs 200 against AZ St for it to be a possibility imo.
  25. True...he was miserable that game. He was pretty damn good last night.
