    No they are really struggling to keep up. Saban's discount has gone away...their 2025 class was their last ditch effort. They can't keep up with retention, portal, and HS. 2026 moving forward will be interesting for them to say the very least. Above table payments are far greater than bag payments....You could get 3-4 guys for 400-500k that were on the higher end with bags. Now you're looking at 1-2 guys for that.

    Except Bama doesn’t have huge NIL and they have a donor base that is struggling to keep up in this era of college athletics. Their AD begging for money publicly should have told you that. With that said if we were to poach him he carries a buyout after this season somewhere north of 10 million.

    @CJ Vogel @Bobby Burton While watching your recruiting breakdown Tyler Webb out of Texas State was mentioned and I found that interesting given his JUCO background and how he'd be able to get that eligibility back given the recent court rulings.

    I feel like majority of the time we've elected to receive to open a game we've gone 3 and out. Maybe I just remember the 3 and outs more because it's infuriating to receiver and just go 3 and out. Always defer, we are a defensive team. Let them set the tone or if they give up a score it perhaps changes the offenses mentality of what they need to do.

    We would have to pay 10+ million to Alabama to buy him out on top of whatever buyout we will owe Terry. Whomever said the Drake HC is a genius....that dude is 43, multiple national championships won, and is rumored to be one of the best X's and O's guys in the country.

    Now look at upper end, Sark isn’t going to make the leap for less. Harbough got 16 million to go back to the nfl. But even for slightly more I could see it being more appealing because you don’t have to work 24/7 365 recruiting, re recruiting your roster, etc.

    Coaching is NFL is a lot less time consuming and grueling that being a p4 HC and the pay is generally better

    Sark says championships are the standard. I’d say we had a really good season but if we don’t get a championship it’s just that.

    Plus he already practicing and in the S&C program. He’s basically getting two spring practices because of the playoffs. Same for Justus Terry

    All the advanced stats say he is being asked to do the most in terms of the throws he’s making, throws into windows, and etc. I don’t get the comment above about arm talent. He has a big arm and has mobility that gets him out of situations.

    Vasek has been battling injuries since he has got to campus. Unless something drastically changes I expect Moore back. This is what 2025 looks like for edges It completely makes sense when you look at it like this

    Name a better defense in program history....only two come to mind 83 and 2009. It is in that realm of rare defense. All the statistics and advance metrics say it is so you can argue your opinion vs the facts until the cows come home. Derrick Johnson has said it is elite but what does he know about defense.

    Bobby, should we be concerned at this point with DT recruiting with the guys who are coming off the board?
