  1. Now that the die is cast, there is a lot of value for a team to play an extra competitive game. Experience for players AND coaches. Culture. Revenue. Another chance for fans to see their team play. It’s a business and there is value for next year. I want to see arch a bit more and to see more of Lacey. I want to see more Simon. I want the seniors to pass on a culture moment to the younger players. I want the coaches to experiment.
  2. The committee showed this year they they don’t have an issue moving ND a spot (or more) at the last minute. Can’t wait until next year when ND is 12 going into final weekend and end up 13. 🤪
  3. Oregon is waayyy more at risk of a huge injury than a loss in that game. They will look to get second and third string in as quickly as possible.
  4. Looks like it should just be Indiana v Georgia this year. Watch the committee mess this one up too and put them both in the same semifinal.
  5. If you think about it, that can’t always be true. It only works if your resume as an at large team stands on its own. If it didn’t matter than no one would switch positions. It does matter - they just want to artificially control how big or little it matters. If Miami was correctly put in ahead of ND and played in the ACC championship and lost, they would have been knocked out of the CFP. Every game has to matter (I mean it should).
  6. Ironically, a Texas-Michigan bowl game will be just fine to the CFP committee - if anything, they could view it as making it easier to leave Texas out of the CFP this year.
  7. gunga la gunga
  8. This poll is ridiculous on so many levels. In addition to Texas, how can anyone look at resume and put Notre Dame ahead of Alabama. Both 2-loss teams. They do it because they aren't looking at the resume - they're looking at eye candy. Is ND a more complete team than Alabama? Probably. But, who has proven it on the field against top competition. Alabama. ND hasn't. I'm not an Alabama supporter, but it's just another example of the stupidity of these polls. So, are we being penalized because we let Vandy come back (aided significantly by terrible calls by the refs)? I'm confident we would have had enough votes to be ahead of Vandy if we had won by 21. Just more stupidity. Diego is a beast and he - like Skat for ASU last year - will keep Vandy in every game they play.
  9. it was on ESPN the Veinticinco.
  10. Looks like, if we win out, we may not make the champ game, but would be in the CFP. If we lose another game, we're likely 4th or 5th team in SEC which likely means on CFP. While it's possible - with chaos - that we're better than 4th, chaos would mean that the SEC risks only getting 3 teams in too. I like winning out. If we can beat Georgia and A&M (and Ark), then we should feel confident about our ability to win it all.
  11. We've only had Mosley for several games at this point and his "ramp-up" seems to be about over. He'll continue to get better, but whatever rust from not getting live game action seems to be gone. Having Baxter and Mosley back is monumental - if for no other reason it puts more pressure on defenses as to who to cover.
  12. Given the Saints' record, maybe the question to Bo still stands?
  13. Let’s not forget that this young team just went on the road. In the SEC. For a month. Won 3 of 4 against teams that were good but beatable. Sure, we all wanted to see us win 4 and looking like a seasoned team doing it. But, they won 3 of 4. That’s a tough stretch for any team. Doesn’t excuse their big problems on offense, but there’s a difficulty factor that makes this survive and advance impressive.
  14. My view. No way this came from Sark’s camp. If the Titans want him for example, why not let it slip out, particularly if they don’t think they have a good shot to get him otherwise. Create noise knowing some will try and keep him at Texas and some want a change. I personally dont want him to leave with unfinished business.
  15. Let's say Kiffin takes the job, what is the level of concern that it will impact any of our Florida commits/targets for 2026?
