  1. Just read the article on ESPN explaining the supplemental draft process. Really interesting process. Essentially, a team uses a draft pick it would have had in next year’s draft if they are the highest “bidder”. It would be surprising to see someone use a first round pick on him in this supplemental draft. Next year will likely have some good QBs in the draft. But also seems that someone can risk low draft capital and get him if they want. Sounds like, if he goes into that supplemental draft, he’s likely to get someone who will at least give up a late round pick. That’s what it seems like to me.
  2. So, now the B12 gets to make its argument as to why it will be irreparably harmed if Sorsby plays.
  3. Beer. Just lots of beer.
  4. Does this same level of care and support apply to all students at TT that have come forward with an addiction? Do other universities offer this extensive level of addiction care? Or maybe TT is doing it and charging him for it (which is probably not the case since they don't say they are).
  5. Every away game for Sorsby will be an extremely hostile environment. That sounds like something that will help him through his gambling and anxiety addictions.
  6. If he really is able to get a multi-year addiction under complete control after a few weeks, was it really an addiction in the first place? Just amazing that it's viewed as helpful to put this young man back into the sports environment that he bet on. Maybe the NCAA needs to say they will give him one more year of eligibility NEXT year if he wins the appeal, but he sits out this year to get more assistance with the addiction. Not something anyone thought of before because it seemed like a slam dunk win for the NCAA.
  7. One thing appears clear - this young man has a serious addiction. I’m not sure someone with such an addiction can really rationally think about consequences in a way that seems logical to others.
  8. Is this partly because of greater TV coverage compared to last year? Just curious - I watched more this year than I did last year but it seemed easier to find games this year.
  9. officiating in that vandy game at the end was crazy. If only I had had a water bottle . . . just kidding.
  10. Quinn on this list twice - injured both seasons, right?
  11. Really appreciate this analysis. As I started reading, the first question that popped into my mind - is it more on the offense (to stay on the field longer) or the defense (to get off the field quicker). Regardless of what the status show, last year, it felt like our offense went into long stretches of 3 and out in many games. I'd love to see more opening possession (on offense) sustained drives that result in touchdowns (or at least points). It may not be statistical, but it seems that psychologically, if you can score on a methodical opening drive, it has a lot more effect that just that seven points. Thanks for going down this rabbit hole!
  12. Will the pollsters have the guts to move teams ahead of ND when those teams beat ranked opponents, or will the pollsters just keep ND where it is because they look the part walloping the inferior opponents that dot their schedule? There are easily 4-5 teams that could have a great record with much better wins . . . but there's only room for 1 ahead of ND based on this early take.
  13. You need to adjust for inflation (and Arch's relative worth compared to Lee Majors).
  14. Provably some other 2 star that leads them to another natty.
