  1. Tilmon decommitted from SMU on June 23.

  3. 2025 Mansfield Timberview DB Nathan Tilmon has dropped his final three ahead of his upcoming decision. Tilmon took an official visit to Texas during June 18–20. The defensive back boasts a 10.7 100m time in the spring. Tilmon will make his college decision between Texas, TCU and Utah – the exact same final three of North Crowley LB Jonathan Cunningham.
  4. Yep. Waiting on the demolition and beginning of construction. The mock ups are tremendous.
  5. Walker strikes me as a late inning situational/matchup piece. Good for a lefty-lefty matchup or run in the lineup. That delivery is funky enough to cause issues at the 3/4 arm delivery. I like it, can never have enough arms with quality stuff in the pen that provide unique deliveries.
  6. Another day, another commitment for the Texas Baseball staff. Schlossnagle and Co. head back to the JUCO ranks for the second consecutive day with the commitment of Ethan Walker, a LHP out of Walters State Community College. Walker pitched 30 innings at Walters State this past season, striking out 38, yet accumulating a 4.80 ERA. Walker sits with a 3-quarter delivery off the left side of the mound. He sits mostly around the upper 80's with his fast ball though brings a plus curveball to his game.
  7. Love that! For anyone bored at work, these two matches going on in the men's singles are tremendous to watch currently.
  8. Still waiting on a video board to be implemented after some renovations to DKR this offseason. Texas has been making steady improvements to the stadium since the offseason including video board improvements across the facades of the upper decks. A quick update from the outside of the stadium shows the video board is still being worked on. The video board should connect all the way across the upper scoreboard, whereas previously there was about a 15-foot shortage on each side.
  9. Jordan Whittington was technically classified as an ATH. Quandre Diggs, Adrian Phillips, Duke Thomas all the same.
  10. FWIW Sun was ranked 123rd in the world prior to the start of Wimbledon. That ranking will certainly rise. Vekic sits 37th.
  11. Former Longhorn tennis star Lulu Sun has seen her Wimbledon run come to an end. A 7–5, 4–6, 1–6 loss to Donna Vekic concludes what had been a special run for the former Longhorn across the pond. Sun will return home with a quarterfinal appearance in this year's Wimbledon tournament, where she had previously not won a single match in any major tennis tournament. Future is bright!
  12. Pettijohn had no business leaving the state. Thats as surprising a recruitment I’ve seen this cycle.
  13. They both sit around 87-90 with their fast ball and rely on offspeed and locations to get ahead of opposing batters.
  14. Add another arm to the equation in 2025 for Jim Schlossnagle and Max Weiner. Texas has received a commitment from McClennon LHP Kade Bing, first reported by Dustin McComas of 5-Tool Baseball. Bing provides another left handed arm to the picture after seeing texas mostly stock up on righties offseason. Bing sits mostly in the upper 80’s with his fastball, but it is his offspeed and easy delivery that allow for him to be in the rotation conversation for 2025. Think a right-handed Ace Whitehead. As a freshman at McClennan, Bing went 9–2 with a 3.33 ERA and 1.04 WHIP.
  15. Comment from about Rodriguez from a buddy coaching in the DFW area: "Dude is without a doubt the best hitter in 6A... He is a switch hitter who just barrels everything. Plays with emotion. Just a tough out."
