CJ Baxter says he felt comfortable back returning kicks and said the value of special teams in the program is key and he wanted to be a big piece of that third of the ball.
Sark on Arch: "The expectations were out of control on the outside, but I’d say let’s finish the book before we judge it. This is one chapter and we have a long season to play."
Sark says he sat with Arch at Halftime to discuss who to view different coverages.
Sark added it was encouraging to see the growth in the second in live time.
"We are going to be fine... I am getting on the plane knowing we are going to be a good football team."
Sarkisian: "From an offensive line perspective, we did a nice job."
Sarkisian says the worst communication Texas had all day was on the 4th down on the final drive where the OL did not slide to reach the free rusher as expected.
Sarkisian: "I thought the demeanor of the offense was good. I thought Arch's poise and composure were really good in this game. I didn't feel like he got rattled."
Sarkisian points to Trevor Goosby , Arch Manning, and DeAndre Moore as guys in the locker room who the team will lean on in the locker room offensively.
Sarkisian says they had really been working on their sneak stuff, OhioState did a great job getting under the offensive linemen and prevented the push.
Sark said they wanted to go quick in those instances to prevent tOSU from putting in their real big DL.
"I thought Parker Livingstone was what I was expecting."
Sarkisian says it was tough for DeAndre Moore to get invovled based off of the Ohio State defensive approach.
"He settled into playing."
Sarkisian says for Arch Manning he really gets into playing when he gets hit and feels the game of football. He pondered incorporating more run plays earlier into games.
