  1. Bastrop is only about 30 minutes away from Austin so it was no surprise to see some Texas representation yesterday in attendance for a practice session. I have talked about 2027 QB Weston Nielsen at length in the past, but I want to focus on who else I was able to watch in-person yesterday. *** Perhaps a new name to Texas recruiting circles in 2025 DB Ramonz Adams. The current Texas Tech commit is coming off of a silver medal in the triple jump at the UIL Texas State Finals meet in Austin a week ago. Adams is a six-foot cornerback that saw time yesterday at safety as well. The Bastrop cornerback is very springy and his athleticism is very evident when on the field. I talked to him a bit after practice and despite Terry Joseph being in attendance for the practice, Adams told me he has not talked with Texas all too much so far. From previous trips to Bastrop, I know Adams is locked in with his commitment at the moment and is excited for his official visit to Lubbock June 7-9 – his only official visit locked in at the moment. *** Meanwhile on the defensive line front, 2026 DL Tiki Hola is shaping up to be one of, if not the, top defensive linemen in the state of Texas for the 2026 class. Hola is up to 280 pounds and sees time along the line anywhere from over the nose to out wide at edge. Having seen Hola in both the weight room and now on the field, it is really impressive the flexibility he brings to his frame. There is still plenty of room for his body to fill out and redistribute weight up to the top half. I think there is potential here for Hola to be a top ten player in the state of Texas for the next cycle. Hola has plans to visit Ohio State and Alabama for a camp during the month of June. He was on campus for a spring practice April 11 and the Longhorns are a school that are comfortably in the top group of his contenders at the moment.
  2. A lot of schools are interested in MHP at defensive back. Will he play there at the next stop? That will be up to him.
  3. 😁
  4. That's a sweet jacket
  5. Going to be a really fun career in Austin! Cannot wait to see him reach max potential.
  6. Does he know portal DT Maka Takkles? Both would be big for Texas.
  7. Give me a few to get out there.
  8. Most underrated, can I interest anyone in Pitt/WVU?
  9. Good luck to Billy!
  10. I would bet they are already in it based off the additions thus far.
  11. It will be a part of conversations with recruits for the next cycle. Every time you see Texas post on social media regarding the draft, this will be brought up. No longer will teams be able to negatively recruit the 'development' of players at Texas with 11 players being selected in just year three of Sarkisian and his staff at Texas. It is going to help.
  12. Brandon Garrison commits to Kentucky. https://www.instagram.com/p/C6Y5eCeu0Kh/?img_index=1
  13. Big time! Welcome to the community brother!
  14. I could absolutely see it. Look at Tacario Davis and Anthony Johnson Jr.
  15. Lagway had some moments. He is a ways from being the dude, but certainly has a high ceiling. Texas will be seeing Mertz in the fall barring injury.
  16. The offensive line gives me pause, but I am as big a fan of Bill Bedenbaugh as you will find. OU, similarly to Texas, is finding capable bodies via the portal in the defensive line area as well. They have the fewest 300+ pound iDL of any team in the country at the moment. Though they are trending for Louisville portal DT Jermayne Lole.
  17. Three commitments in 10 months normally does not inspire a lot of confidence. There is some extra maturation needed here for Wilson.
  18. I am looking at TCU to be a player here.
  19. There's some real intensity!
  20. 17 runs allowed on just 11 hits to UTRGV should about do it.
  21. I mean not really. It was still the NIT. A good run nonetheless, but a fight for 70th best team in the country is still where they ended up.
  22. Cash +435! Love it.
