I have no clue how North Carolina made the tournament. Probably the biggest miss.

It is crazy A&M is already having those conversations about Earley.

It is an interesting practice this early in the season – using relievers for as long as they do. Perhaps it is like a sprinter running a longer distance at higher intensity in preparations to ensure they are prepared to the fullest and keep gas in the tank for when it is time to run the actual distance? Not sure.

It wouldn't be a bad fit by any means. Dak is under contract through 2028 season, but there is an opt-out before then. No more Cooper Rush in Dallas and I think we all can write off the Trey Lance experiment that has yet to yield any real results.

Pitching has been tremendous to start the season for the Longhorns. My one concern is this – it feels at times that relievers are left in for too long. 30-40 pitch outings eventually wear on relievers who aren't privy to that length. It has happened a few times specifically to Ruger Riojas. Obviously, it has yet to bite the Longhorns just yet, but it is something that I will continue to monitor moving forward.

The photo shoot happened earlier this week at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.

I have heard a couple of times now that both Steve Sarkisian and Arch Manning declined the invitation to be on the cover for College Football 26. The cover was leaked Wednesday night, featuring Jeremiah Smith, Bryce Underwood, DJ Lagway, Garrett Nussmeier, Jeremiyah Love, Ryan Williams, Dylan Stewart, Caleb Downs and Sam Leavitt.

Just reiterating and adding to what we have discussed over the last week or two about Christian Clark and his recovery from his Achilles injury. I was told that the redshirt freshman running back is out of support braces and splints when working out. Clark is not quite at 100% in the weight room, but is very close. Of course, last week we discussed Clark's recovery timeline following the photo released of him front squatting 275 pounds. Steve Sarkisian in his Monday press conference singled out Clark's recovery, adding that he was "pleasantly surprised" with the progress made so far. The typical Achilles injury recovery timeline is set for 6–9 months. Given that the injury occurred in the early part of August, it is worth mentioning that this would but Clark at six months and a week essentially since the injury occurred originally. Again, Clark will be limited this spring. However, it remains a great sign that additional support for his achilles is not necessary in weight room training sessions. Positive news.
