    2026 Clearwater (Fla.) OL Sam Roseborough has committed to Texas A&M. Texas hosted Roseborough for an official visit over the weekend, though as we have been mentioning here at OTF, the number put forward from the Texas side of things did not meet the number put forth out of College Station. Texas remains in a very strong position to build out its 2026 offensive line class.

    This will be one of those recruitments that will go to the wire. Texas gave him plenty to think about on his OV. I would suspect a decision before a return to campus, which does not bode well for Texas. But will that be his final decision? We'll see.

    I am not expecting softball to be too active in the portal this summer. There just isn't a huge need numbers wise. Biggest thing is retaining the roster from poachers, so far they've done a great job at that.

    FWIW. Samuel Roseborough hastily walked into the airport — didn’t speak with reporters. He was not dropped off by a Texas staffer as we have seen with every other official visitor thus far. Looked like he hopped out of a random truck.

    Education and relationship with the coaching staff are going to be the two big factors for the decision coming up for Damari Simeon he met with McCombs advisors this morning. He said his plan is to study finance in college. Smart kid.

    Griffin says his decision will come June 29 — down to Ohio State, Florida State, Alabama and Texas. Bo Barnes, Zelus Hicks and Justus Terry were his hosts. There was a lengthy conversation with Sarkisian this morning about how Griffin would fit in the defense + locker room + culture. I think Texas gave him a lot to think about going into the final visit.

    Xavier Griffin says Texas is recruiting him as a EDGE/LB. His first year would be as an edge defender before moving to off ball after that he says. He says accurate height/weight currently is 6–4, 205.

    Nevermind. Top four schools are all “equal” in his view right now. But a July 4 decision remains the plan. Justus Terry and Zelus Hicks were two hosts for BPW on his trip. He said he spent a lot of time with Steve Sarkisian this weekend.

    Bryce Perry-Wright is headed back to Atlanta. I wasn’t able to track him down.

    Rouse says he and his family sit down together after each official visit to talk pros and cons, the school, the city and ultimately come up with a score for each school. That will eventually be one of the biggest factors for his decision. Bo Barnes was the host for Rouse this weekend. Tennessee visit will be the ultimate decider in my opinion.

    Tennessee has been the school that has been recruiting Rouse the longest and that official visit next weekend is going to be a big one before his decision comes. Rouse says either the first or second week in July for his decision.
