  1. It won't be a tough decision. Ewers is your guy.
  2. No real surprise. Sark and his staff keep these things under wraps very well.
  3. Steve Sarkisian on his weekly call for the SEC Coaches Teleconference, said there has not been a starting quarterback named for the ULM game this Saturday evening. Sarkisian did mention Arch is doing very well with his first team reps and that the team today probably had its best practice of the week so far. No update on Ewers' health, or the health of Jaydon Blue, Tre Wisner or Jelani McDonald was provided during the time with media this morning. Sarkisian, of course, will speak with the local media one last time Thursday morning. But for now, no public announcement on the QB decision as of now.
  4. It is still rather humorous to be that we all saw how effective he was off the EDGE and LSU said, "Nope! to the middle you go!" and thus conversations like this arise.
  5. 2027 Arlington Lamar LB Braylon Williams is expected in Austin this weekend as well. Offers from Ohio State, Baylor, Arkansas, Texas Tech and Wisconsin among some others. Hudl: https://www.hudl.com/video/3/19658754/66e432e40d290957d44a320d
  6. Athletic dude. You’re right about him holding on to the rock long however
  7. Luckily for both Tennessee and Ole Miss, they have competent OL and a talented QB.
  8. Also on the OU schedule: #1 Texas #4 Alabama #5 Ole Miss #6 Tennessee – this weekend #7 Missouri #16 LSU @ Auburn vs. South Carolina
  9. Tennessee gets both Alabama and Georgia this year. However, their only other ranked game is Oklahoma. They could make some noise in the SEC Standings.
  10. No surprise there.
  11. Good note right there.
  12. And Oklahoma has to play every team in the upper right quadrant lol
  13. One of my favorite metrics for determining whether or not a defense or offense is efficient or living up to its ranking is points per drive. Of course drives can vary with short fields or needing to go 90+ yards. But for the most part, this statistic evens out over the course of a season. Three games into the season, there is finally enough data here to get an idea of good offenses and defenses in the SEC. For those wanting to see more of the Points Per Drive data, I suggest you visit https://www.bcftoys.com/2024-ppd/, it is one of my favorite sites for all CFB statistics. But here is a visual of the SEC teams through three weeks in 2024. A few takeaways: It truly is so bad in Gainesville right now. That Florida defense is abysmal. Also, Texas will be able to score and score plenty on Mississippi State even without Quinn Ewers at quarterback for that game to begin SEC play. Interestingly, Oklahoma and Georgia are showing similar statistics, great defense, mediocre offense. The difference is Georgia has played a road SEC game while Oklahoma has not left home and has played teams with a combined 2–7 record. Tennessee, Ole Miss and Texas are in a league of their own with both the defense and offense sitting inside the top ten nationally of points per drive so far this season. Alabama remains very good as well.
  14. Sorry, I missed this post. The numbers were posted in the By The Numbers post game thread.
  15. These are great!
  16. Hoping Arch doesn't play too much for those 2025 Heisman Odds to remain high!
  17. That team will have no fight by the time they head to Austin. But I bet they go full in by starting DJ Lagway by then.
  18. Steve Sarkisian says he took his headset off and was able to sit back and enjoy seeing his son, Brady, on the filed against UTSA. Says he almost called down to the defensive staff to "Blitz 32!" like any other dad in the stands.
  19. Sarkisian says the staff will alter how much work Arch Manning will get with the first unit in preparation for potentially starting next Saturday against ULM.
  20. When asked about Arch's athleticism and where he sees similarities with previous QB's he has coached in the past, Sark says Jake Locker. Locker went 8th overall in the 2011 NFL Draft.
  21. "I thought Arch really made good decisions on Saturday." Sarkisian says he calls it an efficient day. The first throw for Arch after replacing Ewers was a third read where he hit DeAndre Moore for a 19-yard TD.
  22. Sarkisian says Ewers was dinged up on the corner route to Gunnar Helm that went for 30 yards. Says no one really noticed it due to the catch and run by Helm. Ewers tried to stick through it, but was too much to fight through and hence he went down after the handoff on the very next play.
