  1. Those 142 rushing attempts have gone for an average of 3.75 yards per rush. In 2025, that rushing average specifically from running backs sits at 4.29 yards per rush.
  2. Doing some digging on how putrid the Texas running game has been this season and came across this statistic dating back to 2024. *** The last rush attempt by a Texas running back to reach 20 yards or more was Jerrick Gibson's 21-yard rush against Clemson in the 4th quarter of the 2024 College Football Playoff round one game. Texas has had 142 rush attempts by running backs since their last 20 yard rush. 20 yards is obviously a big play. So what about 15 yards? Well, in their last 142 rush attempts, the Texas Longhorns have ONE rush attempt eclipsing 15 yards on the ground. That was an 18-yard run by CJ Baxter against San Jose State.
  3. Yes, Roy.
  4. I for one am not a fan of this 😂
  5. Neto received more snaps in W2 vs SJSU than Stroh, yes, that did happen.
  6. Neto has had more than a proper chance. There is a reason why he was unable to win the job straight up out of camp.
  7. Jonah Williams would be great, but Nick Brooks or Nate Kibble up front. See if anyone can unseat the five starters and push that unit forward.
  8. The least surprising headline I have seen since Sydir Mitchell no longer being on the LSU roster.
  9. Rocking with 41–10.
  10. 2027 Lakeview Centennial (Texas) cornerback Montre Jackson tells OTF he will be visiting the Texas Longhorns this weekend for the matchup against UTEP. Jackson is currently ranked as the No. 20 cornerback in the country and No. 178 player in the country by 247Sports. He tells OTF that he remains in contact with the Texas staff regularly and now he will be in Austin for a game visit. The Garland native possesses elite speed, boasting a 10.39 wind-aided 100m in the spring. In April, Jackson clocked a wind-legal 10.53 100m. The four-star cornerback was at Oklahoma last weekend and the Longhorns will have their crack at impressing one of the top prospects in DFW.
  11. Feels favorable once again.
  12. There have been multiple times where a breaking route down the field comes open where Arch is already checking down to a RB in the flats. That to me is his internal clock telling him he is under pressure when he is not. In translation, that means he does not trust his offensive line... yet.
  13. Fundamentals for Arch will improve the more he feels comfortable in the pocket. That was the case from week 1 to week 2, like @harveycmd mentioned. Arch was definitely rattled on the road against Ohio State, and again, I will die by the assertion that he was expecting a Georgia-like front seven with constant pressure which just never came. Fundamentals for Arch will never be pure, that's what comes with his mobility and arm strength. He can get away with a lot due to the arm talent. But the pocket technique is whe you will continue to see improvement as long as he is feeling comfortable in the pocket. It will take steps forward each week of the season.
  14. Two straight weeks where Michael Taaffe is probably the next guy up. Taaffe has led Texas in tackles each week of the season so far, yet still waiting for that splashy big time play that creates a turnover or negative play. Regardless, a strong start to the season for the veteran safety.
  15. Please feel free to add your picks for players with big performances. *** 3 Stars of the Game vs. San Jose State Star #1: WR Parker Livingstone Four receptions, 128 yards, two touchdowns. Statistically, the box score looks great for Parker Livingstone, and what is funny is his most impressive reception of the day was called back due to penalty. What was most encouraging was the trust in the red zone to go directly to Livingstone on the slant. Really impressive day for Livingstone. Star #2: LB Anthony Hill Jr. Creating two turnovers in a single game is definitely worth a spot on the three stars of the game list. But even beyond that, I thought Hill was disruptive up front – three pressures accredited and a couple of run stops to his name. This is the Hill Texas fans expect to see from sideline to sideline on the field. Star #3: TE Jack Endries Only two receptions for Endries, but both go for touchdowns and a combined 52 yards. It was great to see the designed plays for Endries, in fact I want to see more and more and more as the season continues, but right now, there are positives in regards to his growing rapport with Arch Manning. On top of the pass game, Endries was a plus in the run game as well. HM1: Maraad Watson – Unbelievable pass rush up the middle from Maraad Watson on Saturday. Was credited with 1.5 sacks on Saturday. HM2: TyAnthony Smith – A forced fumble and an additional tackle for loss with six tackles added to the tally. Strong showing for the young LB.
  16. I tip my cap, @Dread-headed Texan
  17. Jordan Whittington has had two plays go for about 75 yards combined and they've both been called back for holding.
  18. https://youtu.be/yrQbTkqi1u4?si=dreLOZEowp7qcTsX 20 PTS, 20 REB game for Croatia in the U17 World Cup.
  19. Vic Schaefer and the WBB program hosted a major 2026 target on Saturday for the San Jose State game. 2026 Christ The King C (N.Y.) Olivia Vukosa was in Austin to check in with the Longhorns. The 6-foot-4-inch center is ranked as the No. 4 overall player in the class of 2026 and the No. 1 center in the country. Vukosa was joined by her mother and three sisters on the 40 Acres. The five-star dropped a final five on Friday, ahead of her trip to Austin. Those five included UConn, South Carolina, Texas, LSU and Ohio State.
  20. That will do for today! Hopefully we can make this a mainstay on Fridays during home games. Looking forward to a bounce back from the Horns and Arch tomorrow. Yall enjoy your Friday nights!
