    I was on delay. Wow, thinking big picture, I might put in Guttierez and save Kavan. Doubt we score 3 today with Pickens being held for relief .

    Not new but: from the hometown of James Street, Longview. First memory I have of our Horns was a game on TV , Cotton Bowl game against Roger Staubach and Navy. Many memories, what I feel sorry for the younger folk is their not getting to see Earl play in person.

    Game 1 could be an opportunity to knock some rust off for others that will be needed. Balance the risk, start Guttierrz but have TK ready. If the offense goes well, let staff have an inning each.

    Wonder what Mike’s strategy will be with Kavan in this opening game. Start but hope we score a lot early so she can come out?

    I also thought originally it was the water, then surprised to hear that it wasn’t, I guess we are told?

    So instead she throws a complete game. Going to need that stamina as we move forward .

    Right but she has thrown for two days each around a 100. She has a little left in the tank, maybe 2 innings. I think last year we saw the Tech gal throw so much in the playoffs she did finally play out against us.
