  1. Thanks Blake, can you please remind me what the issue with Rodriguez was? Leg strain of some sort?
  2. Consensus #2. I will take it. Players stepping up for injured players is a sign of a connected team. Do we know how much longer Rodriguez is out?
  3. 4-0 in the SEC without Beyleu and Rodriguez is very impressive. Stewart stepping up and delivering the big 2 run HR to get the scoring going is the stuff of teams that are going to make a deep run.
  4. Dent, Swain, Gwath, and Conwell if he enters would be an excellent haul.
  5. Self suffered a heart attack 24 months ago. He's not the same coach he once was. He likely lost his fastball, maybe needs a reset at a different school. Just not here, because I wouldn't want to take the chance on him never finding it again.
  6. Didn't realize until today, but the Conwell kid for Xavier was teammates with Larry and Kent and Indiana St. last season.
  7. His 22-12 tournament record is very good. 13 tournaments and advanced to the 2nd weekend 8 times with a chance to make it 9 this weekend.
  8. Eligibility is based on the preseason rankings. Eligible prospects have to appear on at least two of the three Top 100 Prospect rankings released by MLB Pipeline, Baseball America and ESPN. Cam Smith is on 2 of these lists making him eligible.
  9. He defense at 2B is awful. His offense can still make up for his defense in LF, the same can't be said at 2B anymore. Ideally, he's moved into his DH years, but the Astros already have the best DH in baseball.
  10. Cam Smith better be the opening day RF. He's a legit ROY candidate and if so, gives the Astros an extra pick next draft.
  11. What are you talking about, Texas is ranked in the Top 10 of every college baseball poll?
  12. Yes, but tell me what Texas Twelve is thinking?
  13. From #1 to unranked after the 1st conference series, has to be a new record even by aggy standards.
  14. Terry gets his shot against two coaches in Miller and Underwood that would take his job in the instant it was offered.
  15. Mark showed he can pick up the slack as the lead guard. Texas didn't try to force Johnson the ball in the SEC tournament and scored plenty.
  16. Huge 1st SEC series win on the road. The sweep would be icing.
  17. Barnes was also never gt the Mak Brown discount on players leaving for the pros. There were several years when he could have built monster rosters if a few players had returned.
  18. Lulz, UNC gonna lose on a lane violation.
  19. Wichita State staying in this one. Down 6 with 10 minutes to go but are already in the bonus.
  20. I think if we win today and Carolina losses we will pass them in the NET. We are only 3 behind them after yesterday's results. OU is probably safely in, but I agree with bierce about Baylor and I add another Big 12 team to that list, West Virginia. Net in the 50s, but they are apparently safely in?
  21. He needs to let a few assistants go. I think going from Bob to Frank is a huge reason why our half court offense looks so awful. Haith is a good recruiter, but we are seeing why he's never been a successful head coach, he's a bad offensive coach. This team has way too much offensive talent to be this inconsistent. If Terry somehow makes it back, he's currently 9-3 in the post-season at Texas, he will likely have a decent pool of players returning. CG - Pope G/W - Weaver, Presley F - Pryor, Codie C - Vinson That's a pretty decent athletic starting point, though the offense would be abysmal with no true PG and really a lack of shooting across the board.
  22. This is the Texas team everyone thought we had this season. Finally healthy and starting to put it together.
