  1. He should be pissed at himself because the failure of this season is clearly on him and him alone. There needs to be fundamental changes to the way he and his team approaches things and if doesn't make those changes he will be gone in 2 years. These changes are both on and off the field.
  2. Man do we need shooters. Wilcher turned it on late, but one point deep into the 2H our 4 guards had combined to score 12 points.
  3. I think Franklin is an absolute HR hire for Virgina Tech.
  4. That's not technically true. The top 5 conference champs get a guaranteed spot. ACC is so bad this year, their conference champion may be behind the American and JMU. In that case, the ACC would be left out. I don't think anyone ever dreamed of a scenario where a P4 champion could be behind two G5 champs, but here we are.
  5. Made of glass.
  6. Harlem Berry would be the guy we need to target. Our RB depth chart is going to look really bad once Wisner goes pro. Baxter may never be the same, Simon doesn't scare me, and Cooper is going to be a true freshman.
  7. Young and inexperienced against a veteran Vanderbilt offense will lead to a lot of big plays. We really need Taafe, McDonald, and Muhammed to get well over these next two weeks for the final three game stretch run.
  8. 9-12, highest ranked 2-loss team.
  9. Yeah, we looked lost back there. Too much cushion and blown coverages.
  10. Man we really need these two weeks. Getting there at 7-2 is huge, but we are a beat up team right now.
  11. Yeah, that would likely make Texas one of the few teams with two wins over other CFP ranked teams. Our SOS was already really helped tonight by MSU, OSU, and Kentucky all winning.
  12. My computer poll has them at #11, the top 2 loss team. Top 12 as of right now without the night games being completed. 1. Indiana (B1G) 2. aggy (SEC) 3. Ohio State 4. Alabama 5. Ole Miss 6. BYU (BIG 12) 7. Georgia Tech (ACC) 8. Texas Tech 9. Virginia 10. Georgia 11. Texas 12. Michigan 18. Memphis (AMERICAN) With NC State putting it on Georgia Tech, this would likely keep Texas in the Top 11, which is where you need to be because #12 will always be replaced by the G5 conference champion. Oregon might be the biggest fraud that will likely be in the Top 12 when the poll is released. They have played two teams with a winning record (1-1), and two teams that haven't won a game all season.
  13. That is equal parts crazy, scary, and fascinating. Kinda of reminds me of the same feelings watching the Texas OL play on a down to down basis.
  14. You studied journalism, like for real?
  15. Of course they would.
  16. Why would any coach that is currently still in the playoff picture take another job?
  17. I 100% believe what is reported was true, it's obvious Sarkisian isn't plugged in this season as in seasons past. The only possible and/or likely scenarios are on who leaked it. 1) Sarkisian/Sexton - seems least likely because Sarkisian isn't that a big of an ahole and Sexton isn't an idiot. < 5% chance 2) Sark's wife - there are tensions and rumors surrounding her and she wanted out last year. 30-40% chance 3) NFL owners - They would absolutely know and there are several that probably dislike Texas. 20-30% chance. 4) Texas BMDs - There is enough of them that have ears in the NFL circles, could easily be them seeing the writing on the wall with Sarkisian and are premeptively striking. 25-45% chance
  18. Lulz, no. The NFL is always a promotion over college. He would not been seen as a quitter, he got a promotion. So you are saying anyone that leaves a company/job for a promotion is a quitter.
  19. While the talent is much deeper in Florida, the resources are likely the same between Florida and Ole Miss at this point. Florida's NIL is probably worse right now than Ole Miss.
  20. Will be interesting to see how Ole Miss plays this weekend in Norman. If they lose, which they shouldn't, because OU can't score against any defense with a semblance of talent, then the players are mailing it in because they know.
  21. I would love for him to come back. We need true OTs.
  22. Interesting. You are saying Sarkisian and Manning aren't prepared at all and make no adjustments in game. That's not the flex you think it is.
  23. Nope, the clear #1 problem with this offense is Arch Manning. There is more than enough evidence of him having clean pockets and wide open WRs and him delivering uncatachable passes consistently. He also has no idea how to read a defense post snap which causes him to hold onto the ball which allows the pressures to get home. His ability to make off platform throws is elite, but it's hard to say the WRs can't get separation when the opposing defense knows what we are doing and they aren't concerned with our QB or running game. Seriously, he completed 3 passes in the 2nd half of the game last night. It's clearly him, and that's not excusing other things that are fundamentally wrong with the offense, but everything starts with him. Wisner may not be a top 3 round RB in the NFL draft, but he's clearly the best player on offense and was the only returning 1K SEC RB. He also won the last two games against OU nearly by himself. He's clearly a net positive for the offense, which is more than I can say for the only guy you actually refuse to blame completely.
  24. If Arch completes the 1st pass and the last pass of the game, Texas wins. Manning still can't complete the crossing route as Wingo was wide open again and it wasn't close. Endries is wide open and Manning tries to drill a pass to him. If he puts any touch on it, Endries scores a TD. This is easy stuff and our QB is incapable of making the play. The big plays he made last week against OU were off schedule plays, he didn't make a throw from the pocket within the confines of the offense that turned into an explosive play.
