    Yea a handful of disastrous plays really shifted that game. Chambliss worries me without Simmons. He will be the best QB Texas faces by a good margin. The last thing this defense needs is even more pressure to keep us in the game. You could tell they got gassed eventually vs Florida because the offense was atrocious.

    I don’t have any expectations honestly. I feel like I’m back in pre 2023 where if we win I’ll be happy, if not it is what it is lol

    They announced that Smothers missed back to back days of practice. They’re simply asking if OTF knows if Wesley got injured during that same time frame.

    Time for Zina and Lance to make some money. Smothers likely out sucks but doesn’t matter if the OL can’t run block. Cooper and Brown will be just fine if the OL steps up. Texas can win with what they have if a competent offense is put on display for once.

    There is no gimme game left on the schedule except maybe Arkansas. I just don’t see how you drastically improve the offense enough to go 6-0. Simmons will miss a few games and maybe even Smothers. I’ve accepted this team is likely going 7-5 or 8-4. Sark and Co are gone in December. I’ll eat my words if they pull it off.

    Why not just give him all the reps this week? 50/50 means you’ll have a 50% prepared QB either way.

    Are we even certain this team will be bowl eligible? I can’t find 2 games that I feel fully comfortable winning. It’s reported Simmons will miss 3-4 weeks min and Smothers is hurt again. 5-7 would absolutely get Sark canned.

    I think it’s possible he doesn’t transfer at all. What major program would want him as their starter? He will be pushed out after this year and I could see some NFL GM taking him late just for the name and attention.

    The writing is on the wall imo. Arch is getting benched. This offense would go from a 2/10 to a 6/10 with a QB who can make the simple reads. Rest comes down to OL and play calling

    I’ve been thinking about this and sadly true. Whoever the next coach is will likely bring their QB with them. I feel bad for KJ but at least the 5 for 5 rules gives him 3 more seasons elsewhere

    Today officially marks the day Sark lost his job. They’ll let him coach the rest of the season and he gets canned in December
