  1. Great now everyone has time to delete their tweets about how Texas is playing a backup and instead say they’re playing a struggling QB
  2. A lot of Sooners saying “Texas gets lucky again without our starting QB” as if they weren’t the ones who willingly benched their starter last year lol
  3. Gotta feel for the kid…hopefully we get to see him at his best at some point
  4. Expected to be back vs Texas, but who knows how healthy he will be.
  5. Holding has always been a big problem with the OL. Christian jones and cam Williams would always get called for it. Seems like it’s an issue Flood hasn’t been able to correct over the years. I think the false starts will get fixed throughout the season as the offense gels some more
  6. I think the stat comparisons to CFB greats like Manziel, Colt etc are interesting and all but they don’t really mean anything about Arch’s trajectory. His numbers are also skewed by the defense giving him multiple short fields in the SJSU game.
  7. Figured this would be fun. Let me know yalls thoughts T/F: 1. Texas beats the spread for the first time this season (currently 39.5) 2. Zero turnovers by the offense 3. Team has less than 30 yards in penalties 4. Defense forces at least 2 turnovers 5. Arch throws for 300+ yards
  8. 49-7. Sark will go for it on every 4th down no matter where we’re at on the field lol
  9. What are the chances we get to see Jonah Williams this week?
  10. Imagine if he stayed one more season. Texas would have gone undefeated in 2023.
  11. CJ is Texas just being extra cautious with their injured players given the level of opponents they’ve been playing? I’m wondering how many of them will be active vs Florida
  12. One thing I noticed in the highlights was that TD throw to Wingo. Great ball placement by Arch there, but if you watch his mechanics top to bottom they’re on point. No side arm, turns his hips, and isn’t flat footed. The ability is there and I’m sure he does that in practice as well. Only explanation I can think of is the yips. Sark and Milwee need to get him back to that confidence he had last year in his 2 starts.
  13. Most of his mistakes have nothing to do with personnel. His mechanics look noticeably different and he’s completely missing wide open receivers vs G5 opponents. Matthew Golden and Isaiah Bond aren’t catching a lot of the throws he’s attempted so far.
  14. 42-0 with a pick 6. Offense may struggle a little with some of the injuries we have, but defense dominates again.
  15. Great idea. OU loses to Jackson Arnold and fans get to see Venables right after. What could go wrong?
