Volantis' first strikeout of the night needs a 2-3 putout to go down as an out. Regardless, two away, nobody on in the bottom of the first for Tarleton.

For the second year in a row, Texas is in the winner's bracket of the Austin Regional, facing a team it lost to in a midweek game during the regular season. This year, it's Tarleton State, which beat the Longhorns 6-1 on March 17 at Disch-Falk Field. Texas will send Dylan Volantis to the mound against the Texans, who will counter with 6-foot-9-inch, 240-pound RHP Ethan Wendel (6-3, 5.64 ERA). The game will be streamed live on ESPN Plus.
