  1. I merged the two Guervil threads, in case you need to find the one started by Bevo92.
  2. The blue-chip defensive line recruit from Fort Myers (Fla.) has a commitment date set for July 2. He made the note part of his Instagram story while also posting content from his official visit to Texas.
  3. Wife and I started using the EveryDollar app from Dave Ramsey a few months ago. It's actually helped us save more than I thought it would.
  4. I like that you’ve got some margin for error with him. If tight end doesn’t work out, flip him over to EDGE and see if it clicks.
  5. The sad trombone is at the ready whenever the Razorbacks make it to Omaha.
  6. Honorable mention to Mason Walters. He’s a standup guy who didn’t mind answering tough questions when things on offense weren’t going right during his time in the program.
  7. Utah, Charlotte, Washington and New Orleans seem like the logical landing spots for Tre Johnson. I’d like to see him go to the Sixers at No. 3. Would be a hellacious three-guard lineup with Johnson, McCain and a healthy Tyrese Maxey.
  8. If reporters in other markets have information on Texas’ portal activity the staff views as sensitive, they have no reason to withhold it from publishing. I can tell you that we’re gathering information, but the combination of respecting sources and how fluid things are with portal recruiting make it tough to do minute-by-minute reporting.
  9. I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting on him to arrive on the Forty.
  10. We’re going to do what we can, when we can because we want to be accurate.
  11. We’re gathering intel and will have something soon covering the baseball portal.
  12. Texas is in it for Chris Hacopian, but not to the extent it sounds like some are making it out to be, as far as we know.
  13. You're not kidding. Fun home schedule though. The defending national champs are playing at Moody for the second year in a row, Chris Beard's return, the Sooners and the Aggies and competing against LSU in anything means you've got a heck of a party on your hands.
  14. Interesting that Georgia is the third team Texas plays twice, not Arkansas. The two games against A&M and OU were expected.
  15. Dates, times and TV information will be released by the league at a later date. Conference play starts on Jan. 3, 2026 and runs through March 7. The SEC Tournament will be in Nashville, March 11-15.
  16. If he starts discussing the size of a recruit’s forearms, you know he’s an old soul.
  17. Patrick Hudson had the tools to be great. It just never came together.
  18. I read your post as Capt. Andrew Luck. Let's hope Sark's resolve is strong and his sidearm remains true.
  19. It remains to be seen. CJ mentioned in the KJ Edwards threat that Texas hasn't had any contact with Jett Walker recently. I don't expect them to give up on Edwards or Crowell. Having the stomach for the fight in these battles also means a willingness to recruit through the whistle. The main thing the staff can't do is panic, and I don't expect they will. Maybe it's just a one-back class, or Texas will lean on the portal, depending on what the roster looks like as the season progresses.
  20. I've had CJ's statement on my mind since he made it almost a week ago. It's a great place to be because the wins mean you're adding blue-chip talent that can help you win a championship, but the losses mean that one of the opponents standing between you and a championship just got better. When you're big-game hunting in the NIL/revenue sharing era of college football, last-second losses can happen. Sure, Sark might need to adjust some things as time goes on, but I'm giving the staff the benefit of the doubt, even on tough days like today. I've got faith in them continuing to get the players Texas needs to remain in the title hunt in the SEC and the CFP. The bottom line is I'd much rather Texas be battling Texas A&M, LSU, Alabama, Clemson, Georgia and Oregon in high-stakes recruitments than trying to poach from Baylor, TCU and Texas Tech to field a competitive roster. Texas has a head coach with the stomach for the fight, which hasn't always been the case in my time covering recruiting.
