  1. Per Schloss, Jonah Williams was available to hit tonight. They’re trying to keep him healthy.
  2. A run-rule win on opening night. It doesn't get much better than that!
  3. With the run rule in play, that's a walk-off home run for Mendoza!
  4. Wooldridge was unable to make a sliding catch on a high, looping hit to left by Pack. Texas has a 9-2 lead with two on, nobody out and UC Davis is making a pitching change.
  5. Becerra drives one to left. Gumbo scores easily from second on a single by Becerra. It's a 9-2 lead for the Longhorns. Becerra is on second with no outs and Pack is up, looking to build on a 2-for-2 night.
  6. Borba scores on a balk, Gumbo advances to second. Texas has an 8-2 lead.
  7. Gumbo lines one to left. It's first and third with no outs for Becerra.
  8. A walk and a wild pitch by Grubbs put a runner in scoring position. Robbins couldn't catch up to a drive to left-center by Wooldridge, scoring Hirschkorn from second. It's a 7-2 lead for the Longhorns, two outs and a runner in scoring position for UC Davis in the top of the seventh.
  9. The Longhorns go down in order in the bottom of the sixth. RHP Keenan Anzai gave UC Davis a lift out of the bullpen.
  10. Becerra gets Grubbs out of a two-on, one-out jam with a 5-3 double play to end the top of the sixth.
  11. Final line for Riojas: 5 IP, 3 hits, 1 run (earned), nine Ks, BB, 1 HBP on 78 pitches
  12. Four runs on two hits with three left on base for Texas in the fifth.
  13. Rodriguez with a bases-loaded lineout to center ends the inning.
  14. Mason Lerma, who's one of the better relief pitchers in the country, is struggling. He walks Mendoza, his third walk issued tonight.
  15. It's now RISP with two outs after Pack steals second.
