  1. Miller: "We can be a much better team if we foul less." Georgia was 17-for-25 from the foul line.
  2. Miller: "We're going to be in this all the way to the end. We're going to fight to the end."
  3. Miller said the guards did a great job handling Georgia's pressure. He noted the guards combining for only five turnovers in 40 minutes.
  4. Miller is pointing out that Matas deserves credit for putting a sub-par second half behind him and delivering in the first half.
  5. Coming back from Kentucky, Miller said the team has a had a couple of good days and prepared hard to win this game. That's what led to the disappointment at halftime.
  6. Miller said halftime was a moment of truth for this team's season. He credited Mark, Swain and Matas (Miller let the cat out of the bag that Matas was the key starter who was under the weather) for leading the second-half charge.
  7. Texas was down by seven at halftime. Swain said Miller challenged the team, telling them, "You can fold now if you want. But we've got a long season. If you've got some dog in you, you'll fight."
  8. Swain said Sean Miller motivated the team by showing them a horse race. The point, Swain said, was to just keep running the race. It doesn't matter how you start, just keep running the race and see where you stand when it's over.

  10. We're waiting for the postgame press conference to start after Texas snapped a two-game losing streak with a blowout win over No. 21 Georgia at Moody Center on Saturday, 87-67. Sean Miller's Longhorns are now 12-8 overall and 3-4 in SEC play. Each of those three wins has come against AP Top 25 opponents.
  11. James Street wasn't the only one, though. Bobby Layne threw two no-hitters at Texas, won 35 games, was a four-time All-SWC selection and led the Longhorns to three SWC titles.
  12. From UT: Due to forecasted inclement weather in Fayetteville, the Texas at Arkansas Women’s Basketball scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 25, has been postponed. The game will be rescheduled for Thursday, February 19th, a common BYE date for both institutions. More details on tip times TBD.
