  1. Yesterday, April 29, marked 20 years to the date that Vince Young was drafted No. 3 overall by the Tennessee Titans in the 2006 NFL Draft. VY wasn't an NFL bust, but his career should've been longer and more prosperous. FJF!
  2. I'll speak for myself and not the rest of the staff, but I can tell you that if I had information to share, I'd share. The best I can describe the flow of information coming from the women's program right now (again, this is my personal opinion) is that a lot of intel is being kept close to the vest.
  3. Carson Tinney’s two-run bomb to left field gives the Longhorns a walk-off win! FINAL: Texas 15, Sam Houston 14
  4. Base hit to left for Robbins. A misplayed ball allows Gumbo to score from second and make it a 14-13 game.
  5. Livingston strikes out. One out and here comes Robbins with a runner on second.
  6. Larson and Livingston will pinch hit in the bottom of the ninth.
  7. There’s a reason why you don’t see some of these pitchers used tonight on the weekend (or hardly at all, for that matter).
  8. If they’re checked out, that’s a good way to get yourself left off the postseason roster.
  9. It’s different for different guys. Winter, for example, is physical. He hasn’t shown those flashes he had before he got sick. There are Pierce guys like Hamilton and Howard who the staff is trying to get something out of. The inability to find a reliable fourth starter is a problem though. One that’s not going to get solved this season.
  10. At some point, guys have to go out and execute pitches. These are the nights where guys can prove that they can be trusted in high leverage situations during the weekend. I won’t hold the one mistake against Crossland. He’s done enough good this season to prove he can be trusted. But there’s a reason why you haven’t seen much of the other guys who’ve pitched tonight in conference play.
  11. Fink doubles, Orth homers and Sam Houston is back on top, 14-12.
