  1. Gasparino sends a rocket to McMurray at first base. He couldn't handle it, resulting in the first base hit of the game for either side.
  2. Spencer needed 18 pitches to get through the second, but he got Chase Fralick to ground out to first to end the Auburn threat.
  3. Spencer is trying to work around walking the leadoff man and hitting a batter. He just got Bristol Carter to pop up a bunt with Schuessler retiring him in foul territory. Two on, two down for Auburn in the second.
  4. Auburn has a runner on second with one out, but a tremendous defensive play by Casey Borba prevented an extra-base hit by Terrell.
  5. Flores grounds out to third to end the first.
  6. After Mendoza strikes out, Galvan ends an 8-pitch AB with a groundout. Two away in the home half of the first.
  7. It's a 10-pitch first for Spencer. He retires the first three Tigers he faces to open the game.
  8. Four pitches, two outs for Spencer in the top of the first.
  9. This weekend's series between the Tigers and the Longhorns is a Thursday-Saturday affair ahead of Easter Sunday. Tonight's series opener is a 7 p.m. first pitch on SEC Network+.
  10. Bert Auburn announced this afternoon that he's entering the portal as a graduate transfer. After setting a school and Big 12 record with 19 consecutive field goals in 2023, when he was a first-team All-Big 12 performer while making 29 of 35 attempts, Auburn struggled in 2024. He was 16-for-25 on field goals in 15 games, including a combined 8-for-14 against Kentucky, Texas A&M, Georgia (SEC Championship), Clemson (CFP First Round) and Arizona State (Peach Bowl). Auburn's 1-for-3 performance in the Peach Bowl led to Steve Sarkisian opening the kicking competition. Will Stone kicked in place of Auburn in the Cotton Bowl loss to Ohio State, going 2-for-2 on extra points (Stone didn't attempt a field goal against the Buckeyes). When he was asked about the placekicking competition following Monday's practice, Sarkisian said: "We haven't done enough yet. I think we'll start to really ramp it up here on Wednesday. We've done some, but now we've got to really start to ramp this thing up to get a real gauge on what it looks like."
  11. Yeah, as much as I like Arch, I won’t be dropping that much money. I’ll stick to cards.
