  1. Schuessler missed a two-run home run down the left-field line by a few feet.
  2. Chamberlain draws a walk and then advances to second base as Belyeu is retired on a grounder to first base.
  3. On the starter for tonight's game, I don't know. It could be Jason Flores. I don't know if they'd start Grubbs, but he's available.
  4. Galvan is done for this game. Cole Chamberlain is hitting for him to lead off the seventh.
  5. My guess would be Grubbs gets the start, but I have no idea.
  6. With a 1-2-3 sixth, Riojas is up to 88 pitches through six.
  7. I would say there's almost no chance you'll see Jonah on the mound, but he's worked there some. Jason Flores is up now, FWIW. He hasn't pitched in a while.
  8. Whether Riojas has found his swing-and-miss stuff or K-State is trying to get out of here (a little bit of both, I think), doesn't matter. This is what Texas needed from Ruger.
  9. It's a 14-run, 15-hit day for the Longhorns with K-State batting in the bottom of the sixth.
  10. At this point, do you think about moves like getting Galvan off his feet, if you're Schloss?
  11. Mendoza grounded into an inning-ending double play, but the Longhorns scored three runs in the sixth to take an 11-run lead to the home half.
  12. Gumbo Duplantier, pinch running for Williams, scores from third on a sacrifice fly by Gasparino.
  13. Adam Arthur isn't doing much better than JJ Slack for K-State. He walked Flores and then gave up an RBI single to Jonah Williams. As I was typing that out, Borba singled to left to bring Flores home. Texas has a 13-3 lead with two on and nobody out in the top of the sixth.
  14. Rodriguez gets hit by a pitch in the leg to lead off the sixth for the Longhorns.
  15. I want to see good, competitive at-bats. Don't start swinging out of your shoes now.
  16. Riojas is up to 72 pitches. Going the distance probably isn't reasonable, but he needs to keep eating innings.
  17. The fourth K of the day by Riojas ends the K-State fifth with a runner stranded on first.
  18. Riojas had retired 12 in a row before hitting Flores with a pitch.
  19. That's a shocker. They were the hottest team in the country coming into the tournament.
