Need Texas to show up in a big way this weekend against Oklahoma State. Have to take that series and a sweep would be ideal. Oklahoma State is not good in away games. In fact, they’re barely above .500 with a 9-8 record (18-5 at home). Also need Cincy to win at least one, but preferably take the series against West Virginia. And we all need to be Texas Tech fans this weekend and root for them to beat the Sooners. Tough task but the good news is the Sooners head to Lubbock and, although they’re terrible on the road, they’re pretty damn good at home. 21-4 vs 6-11. Thank God that game is on the road for OU.

BALLGAME. TEXAS WINS THE SERIES.

Another one built up to the west and sorta looks like it may go just south of Norman. But that means more lightning and more delays.

They should have a mutually agreed upon time. If we get to that point, the seven innings will be a complete game. However, I don’t think it will last too long.

That’s a good question. I don’t know what to expect with this staff so your guess is as good as mine.

Lightning delay. Going to be a bit, but the good news is that it looks like it’s all north of Norman.

Pitching is atrocious. As usual. Consistently bad. Have 12 on the board through 7 and can easily choke it away.

Way to let em hang, LH.

2 outs are kryptonite for the Longhorns. Seriously. Absolutely ridiculous.

Please God, please… don’t let LBJ let OU back in this game. Please. I don’t ask for much.

I’ve watched A LOT of college baseball today. First, such an odd year in college baseball. Craziest year I remember in quite some time Second, Texas A&M is so damn good offensively. They were down 7-0 to No. 20 Georgia and now it’s 9-9. Only one home loss. They’re a hell of a lot of fun to watch and they truly are a phenomenal team this year. Someone with elite pitching can take them down, however. Arkansas might be the most well balanced team in the nation, however. They have elite pitching and big bats. The matchup between those two in a few weeks is going to be awesome. Some other thoughts… Clemson lost today but I truly believe their coach could do some phenomenal things here. Same for Tennessee. They are just well balanced and play sound baseball. I’m not so sure he wouldn’t be my number one guy to go after. Alabama is going to be a forced to be reckoned with in a couple of years if they hang on to their coach.

Texas will play a doubleheader tomorrow beginning at 1:00 PM.

Same starting rotation this weekend as last weekend: Friday - Max Grubbs (3.61) Saturday - Ace Whitehead (3.32) Sunday - LBJ (5.03)

And, as I said on C&F this morning... this is a big weekend for a number of reasons: 1. Texas tied for third in the Big 12 and is only three games behind. 2. OU is first in the Big 12. 3. Texas RPI is No. 66 at the moment. They need to improve that. This weekend will allow for that to happen as OU is No. 18 in RPI. Obviously this team is aware of that. 4. OU also has a chance to host this postseason, so a series win for them would be huge here too.

Sounds like he will even ride the bus with the team to the stadium, but just can't be involved in game activities tonight. And yes, rain all day tomorrow!
