On Friday evening, the Longhorns picked up their second commitment of the 2025 class under new Head Coach Jim Schlossnagle. Jack Paris, a one time Texas A&M commit out of Houston Kincaid, has decided to switch his commitment from the Aggies to the Longhorns. Paris can play first base and is a stud on the mound, although it’s currently unknown where Texas plans to use him. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound right hander had a 90 mph fastball last summer.

Coffee and Football starts at 8 AM and we will be talking all about the Longhorns. Recruiting, team notes, baseball and everything else is on the table today, plus we will be taking your questions.

Kinky Friedman passed away this morning at the age of 79 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. A University of Texas graduate, Friedman did it all and did it in a way only he could. He was an author, musician, songwriter, politician and much more. He was always super nice to me and would always have everyone around him laughing. RIP to a true one of a kind guy.

Good morning! Join us for Coffee and Football beginning at 8 AM. We will take your questions and discuss the top Texas news items of the day.

I just confirmed with a source that Troy Tulowitzki will NOT be joining Jim Schlossnagle’s staff as originally anticipated.

“Our staff has a proven track record of doing things the right way.”

“It will be an experience for sure” Schloss before he answers what he thinks it will be like to return to College Station. Lol

“I just KNOW that I can trust Chris.” - Schloss on CDC

Schloss says his first order of business is to contact the players.

“Beginning now we have to prepare to compete in the major leagues of college baseball. If you’ve never been in SEC baseball, get ready.”

“To the current and future players the program belongs to you as well.” Says Augie told him ”If you ever decide to come to Texas, this will never be your program.” He means that it will always be for the players.

“To the former players, the program belongs to you, you are always welcome.”

“The way you do anything is how you do everything.” I love that.

Man that one has been a bit tougher to get info on.

Thanks guys. I really appreciate it! I'm waiting for confirmation on a couple of things, but I'll put out a story explaining all of this and how it went down from my point of view here soon. A peek behind the curtain!

Good morning Texas fans. Join us for Coffee and Football beginning at 8 AM. We will be talking ALL the big news surrounding the Longhorns plus taking your questions. Kendall Rogers of D1Baseball.com will be joining us as well.

It's posted and pinned.

Haha it was six hours thank you very much.

New post coming soon.... after I record something with Gerry and CJ (and no it's not the coaching announcement video).

Join us at 8:00 AM for Coffee and Football, as we discuss all things Texas related and take your questions. Greg Tepper, the Managing Editor of Dave Campbell’s Texas Football, will be joining us as well!

Morton is the head coach of Eastland HS, fyi. Been there a long time.

Kendall reported it (the firing) was done about a week ago (pretty much true) and posted a hot board. That’s about it from what I’ve seen. His hot board also goes in length on one particular coach. What else is he saying?

When this is all said and done in a couple of days, I’ll spill the beans on errrrthing and how and why this all happened. Until then 🤐. I’ve also spent nearly every day researching certain staffs and what they bring to the table. Y’all are going to be happier than a puppy with two peckers.
