  1. We’re 82 days away from kickoff in Columbus, when the Horns open the season against Ohio State. Who is your favorite No. 82 overall the years? BJ Johnson Geoff Swaim
  2. No offense to whoever this is but they have pulled this stuff over and over since Schloss arrival and nothing ever happens. It’s like they throw crap against the wall in hopes in sticks. Not saying they’re wrong, but not saying they’re right either.
  3. It wouldn’t surprise me if there were still a handful more when it’s all said and done. And yes, for sure. Rylan Galvan is the main one to watch imo, as that one could go either way.
  4. I just saw Bobby posted an hour before me. 🤣
  5. I’m not at my computer, but I’m almost positive it’s “OnTexas”
  6. I’m not saying they won’t take a closer look at him, but I just don’t think it happens. Plus, they’re looking at more than just talent. They want the correct fit/attitude/etc. I won’t name names, but I know there’s one prospect who is very talented and would probably love to play at Texas, but his attitude on and off the field instantly made him a huge no.
  7. He was drafted in seventh round and then screwed up his knee badly.
  8. This actually happened earlier this week, but just now saw it. FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons signed defensive back Josh Thompson, the team announced Monday. Thompson briefly spent time in Atlanta last season, signing on during training camp. He landed on injured reserve within a month, though, due to an undisclosed injury and was released before the season began. The 26-year-old is a former undrafted free agent who joined the NFL in 2022. As a rookie, he appeared in six games with the Tennessee Titans, solely on special teams. He took 83 snaps. Thomspon has yet to appear in a game since. He was with the Houston Texans before the Falcons brought him to Atlanta the first time around. To make room for Thomspon on the 90-man roster, the Falcons released safety Benny Sapp III. https://www.atlantafalcons.com/news/josh-thompson-signed-benny-sapp-released-transaction-2025
  9. Regarding Adams (per Grok): The best Texas Longhorn to wear No. 83 is Mike Adams, a wide receiver from 1992–1996. Adams is third all-time in Texas history with 3,032 receiving yards, trailing only Roy Williams and Jordan Shipley. In 1992, as a freshman, he earned USA TODAY Sports’ Freshman All-American honors, amassing 964 all-purpose yards on 63 touches, including three touchdowns (one receiving, one rushing, one punt return). His career total of 5,822 all-purpose yards ranks third in school history, behind only Ricky Williams and Cedric Benson. Adams was a standout for his era, setting a high standard for Longhorn receivers.
  10. Deryl Comer’s hands were like football magnets. Soft lobs and Heat-seeking passes searched for his hands. Deryl could convert a complicated route, bad pass, and challenging catch into a Picasso art form. https://texaslsn.org/2022-deryl-comer/ From Grok: Deryl Comer (1966–1968): A tight end, Comer earned All-Southwest Conference honors in 1968. While not a statistical leader like Adams, his recognition as an all-conference player marks him as a notable figure for his era. Specific stats for Comer are less documented, but his role helped solidify the tight end position during a successful period for Texas, including the 1968 season when the Longhorns went 9–1–1.
  11. We’re down to just 83 days before the Longhorns take on Ohio State. Who’s your favorite Horn to ever wear 83? Mike Adams: Spencer Shannon: Deryl Comer:
  12. Yeah that one wasn’t a good one at all. You could tell after the first round that he knew he was done imo. Really considering heading to New Orleans for 318.
  13. “Now the tough part… back to recruiting. It started today actually.” - Mike White
  14. CDC said he was told that if he could get Mike White to Texas, they would win a national championship. And that’s exactly what happened.
