Red Five

O.J. Simpson was one of the best football players of all time. Multiple things can be true about one person. Really, it's possible.

Oh yeah? When does that start to happen? I mean, I know a program that is on that track for that, about 100 miles away from them. Maybe that's who he's thinking of.

Women. Can't live with them, pass the beer nuts.

Think about how much money you have saved by never going to the best game in college football the last 25 years or so. I say splurge.

Well, maybe a thing or two...

I bet she's worth it.

There must be some obvious joke here I'm missing.

I don't think we'll carry all of Manning, Owens, Lacey, and Bell in 2026. I know who I'd bet on being the odd man out.

Well they're both white I guess. Shipley's speed/quickness was on a completely different level.

11-4 at the moment. https://texaslonghorns.com/feature/lonestar-showdown

Yeah he's retired.

Here's the weird thing to me: It didn't used to. Certainly not coming out of high school, or when he first got here. Obviously injuries played a part there, but you never really saw the gunslinger version of him again after his first season.

He's coming to Austin tonight with no other visits planned and no current plans to take more visits.

And we have depth. Everywhere. Not trying to pick nits here, but we're really loaded. Any takes from here on out are pure luxury takes. ALTHOUGH... if an all-conference caliber RT were to drop in our laps, say a Christian Jones/Cam Williams level player, that would be pretty cool.

We don't have any "needs" at this point. Everything is a luxury pickup.

1 TE, 1 WR, 1 K, 1 DT, 1 best player available. ... if no one else leaves. Edit: Not sure how I screwed up counting to five but I did. Add in an APB/return guy.

You are forgiven.

Around the same time Shipley showed up in Norman?

Right. Said better than I did above. It's a little depressing that we're talking about a guy who had round one pick one talk just a couple of years ago, but that's the reality. He's already made a good deal of money. If he can hang around the league for a few years at least he's done ok.

I'm not really comfortable even putting their names in the same sentence.

VY went to two pro-bowls. You would most likely lose that bet.

I would be so confused watching Ewers' film if I were in an NFL draft room. Honestly I have no idea where I would slot him. He was obviously banged up most of last year, but he pretty much went from a guy with the golden arm who could make all the throws, to a guy who could somewhat manage a game and throw accurate balls around the line of scrimmage.
