  1. Gotta at least split the Miami and LSU games, then pull an upset over Texas or Aggy and run the table from there to have a shot. Won't happen because they won't beat Georgia and Mississippi is probably a loss too so 8-4 at best. That's only if Lagway stays healthy.
  2. Basically what happened to Kalen DeBoer. He was offered big money to keep the Ferrari on the road like Ryan Day. Not sure even a big bag could convince Sark to do another full on rebuild of a blueblood program. I think the only college HC job he might leave for is Southern Cal because that's where he grew up. Otherwise it's Texas or NFL.
  3. Mr. Sioux Falls is not an SEC caliber HC.
  4. Plus they played a power level opponent on the road and won comfortably. Much more impressive.
  5. As Dan Lanning once said, they're doing it for clicks!
  6. In order, assuming they lose no more than one game along the way, the biggest threats to Texas winning the conference and winning it all are Georgia and Ohio State. Penn State, like Clemson has a very experienced roster, but have to see how PSU performs against Oregon and Ohio State to determine if they can take that next step. Clemson will still win the ACC unless FSU, Miami, or Louisville rises to the occasion. I do not think Clemson matches up well with Texas. Still don't trust Brian Kelly to get it done, but he could take them to Atlanta and the CFP.
  7. The season rides on the games in the Swamp and in the Cotton Bowl. Have to go 1-1 at worst there. 0-2 there and you’re Citrus Bowl bound. 2-0 and SEC championship, CFP and beyond are still on the table. 1-1 you have no margin for error left.
  8. Despite the lack of burst in the RB room, 200+ rushing ypg and 5+ ypc is very doable, especially when you throw in Manning’s running ability. That might be the best way to maximize this offense this season. The right side of the line needs to match that and they’ll be set.
  9. Needs a real OC that can call plays. I do want to see what adjustments are made from this game to the games in Gainesville and Dallas to validate my thoughts. Flood and Milwee are OC and Co-OC to justify their pay, but they don’t call plays.
  10. We won’t really know how much this offense has improved until they go to Gainesville and Dallas back to back, but what I want to see over these next three games are: - Anyone who is injured to get healthy and anyone who is not injured to stay healthy. - More creativity in the red zone. Nuff said. - The short and intermediate passing game to come to life with the QB and WRs. - Getting the other RBs involved in the run game. Building off that performance against Ohio State.
  11. I really had Klubnik winning the Heisman this season lol. No chance that happens if that’s how his OL and run game look the rest of the way. To be fair he has a chance to pad his stats in the ACC, but Beck and Castellanos might have something to say about that.
  12. Yeah let’s see how much Manning’s accuracy improves over the course of this season before directing that much criticism to the WR room. I will say the WR could’ve prevented Manning’s only interception of the game by acting like a defensive back.
  13. No because, I think the staff spends most of their NIL money on defense. That’s why most of the difference makers on this team are on that side of the ball. They don’t spend as much on offense imo
  14. It's why I said these next two seasons with Manning are the two most important of Sark's career and legacy as a HC/offensive playcaller. If he doesn't win a natty in the next two seasons, things will get dicey. I don't want Sark the head football coach fired, nor should he be fired. I do think Sark the playcaller should be fired if the offense does not improve over the course of this season. I respect him for pulling them out of the dumps after his first two seasons and the eleven seasons prior, but I hope “Final Four and no more” is not his ceiling here.
  15. Translation: there will be plenty of opportunities for the defense to create splash plays.
  16. RB ball security was excellent yesterday between Wisner and Baxter.
  17. At least he didn’t turn the ball over!
  18. Sark has put up lots of yards but not enough points. That’s been the story of the last two seasons and game one of this season. He’s baked the cake but keeps forgetting to add the icing to it.
  19. Yes like LaDainian Tomlinson and Priest Holmes back in the day
  20. 1. Ohio State 2. LSU 3. Miami 4. Notre Dame 5. Texas 6. Clemson
  21. I can't stand A&M or Liucci, but he cooked with this take imo. Where are the 40+ ppg offenses we saw from him as the OC at Alabama? Based on the concerns about not having any touchdown makers on this offense, that won't change this season and probably next season unless they find guys like that in the portal. Gotta see how the offense looks after Red River and go from there, but most likely, the red zone and short yardage issues will continue. Maybe he starts taking the 3 points if we're lucky.
  22. I get what you’re saying, but who on 2023 Michigan’s offense had game breaking speed?
  23. Because it doesn’t fit the narrative. Not sure if Dabo will ever be what he was from 2015-2020 again as the HC at Clemson. Mr. Sioux Falls did win the Pack 12 and played for a natty in a 4 team CFP though.
  24. I feel the same way about Flood overall, but he gets some flowers from me for yesterday’s performance. Pass pro was much better than I expected yesterday and the run blocking, particularly on the left side of the line is something to build off of. Didn’t like the penalties or the lack of push in short yardage goal line situations. But those two things might be something we have to live with since it’s been an issue for multiple seasons now.
