  1. Jaimeon Winfield and Mark Bowman. Winfield might bite if Riley leaves but Bowman probably stays no matter what if the NIL deal he got this summer holds up. Plus Texas is in a good spot with their TE room, especially if Endries comes back next season.
  2. Scratch Wisconsin off the list. Too many other head coaching vacancies for them to pull the plug here is what they're thinking.
  3. Only way it happens is if Moore goes pro after this season and Butler + one more WR hit the portal. Even then, might be tough to get him from an NIL standpoint.
  4. If they come out flat and barely squeak by Mississippi State you know why
  5. Just a few days after recovering a blocked punt for a touchdown wow. RIP, young man.
  6. Hopefully, Sark, Flood, and Harris can make this one happen!
  7. Those two scenarios are the most likely way Texas makes it to the SEC Championship Game. I have added a third scenario in which Alabama wins all their other games and loses specifically to Oklahoma, Texas wins out, Texas A&M wins out before they lose to Texas, and Mississippi wins out. Texas would finish at the top of the SEC regular season standings and face Alabama in Atlanta. However, you have to wonder if winning your conference really means much in the expanded playoff era, especially in the B1G and SEC. Last season, winning a power level conference guaranteed you a first round bye, but that rule was changed after last season, and it just seems like an extra game of wear of tear with little to gain and a lot to lose. Maybe they could, similar to college basketball and college baseball, have a regular season SEC Champion trophy and an SEC Championship Game trophy when they expand to 16 teams and beyond.
  8. I agree with Texas not taking a portal WR the more I think about it. The only way that would make sense is if Moore goes pro after this season, and even then, I like what I have seen from McCutcheon so far in his limited snaps. I know some have been frustrated with Wingo at times this season, but I think Sark is realizing a healthy Mosley is WR1 and Wingo should be used in ways that allow him to showcase his explosiveness. Those swing passes against Mississippi State and Vanderbilt were things of beauty. MosIey is the best pure WR on this roster imo. He looks and plays the way a good WR should. Livingstone has proven he's a good deep threat and reliable red zone target. I think he needs to add 10-15 pounds to his frame to put him at 200-205 lbs. I think another year of this group playing together would make them much better. But from a roster management and NIL perspective, it only makes sense to grab a portal WR if Moore declares for the draft.
  9. I saw him play a few snaps against Vandy. Got some pressure a few times. Next year, if he adds a good 15-20 pounds to his frame, they can slide him inside as a DT full time. Right now, he's more of a hydrid EDGE/DT.

  11. Does Texas have a good shot at winning this recruitment?
  12. Interestingly enough, if Alabama loses to OU specifically and they along with Aggy, Mississippi, and Texas all finish the regular season 7-1 in SEC play, it would mean Texas finishes at the top of the conference standings facing Bama in the SEC Championship game. So basically Texas has to win out and either have Bama lose to OU or Mississippi lose to either Florida or Mississippi State. Those are the two most likely ways Texas makes it to Atlanta.
  13. How about UF @ UK? UF beating UK would help Texas' strength of schedule. Oregon @ Iowa is interesting because if Oregon loses to Iowa, they're really up against it in terms of making the CFP with a home game against USC and a road game against rival Washington looming. I don't see Iowa winning out, so the Big 10 (not named Ohio State and Indiana) cannibalizing itself is good for Texas' CFP hopes imo
  14. Looks like Brian Hartline might get the Penn State head coaching gig
  15. I know it's Incarnate Word, but this type of offense looks capable of going all the way. Hope they stay healthy.
  16. Love seeing these threes fall for Texas!
  17. I actually think they’re more likely to lose the Egg Bowl to Jeff Lebby. It’s on the road and Kiffin might have a new job by then and be so distracted by that he doesn’t have his team ready for that game.
  18. A week from tomorrow I think
  19. Head to head only matters if it's between just two teams that played each other during the season. If Mississippi, Texas, and A&M all finish 7-1, Mississippi would win that tiebreaker

  21. Just like the baseball team the last month of last season
  22. Yeah Aggy will pay big $$$ too + he was committed to them before + how their current portal WRs have looked so far this season + Moore coming back for another season means Texas has quite a bit working against them in regards to attracting a top WR in the portal, but you can't turn down difference makers if they want to come here.

  24. Besides Cam Coleman obviously, Texas probably needs another interior defensive lineman going into next season with the departures of Brevard, Shaw, and possibly Kanu.
