  1. Just a glimpse of what this young man can bring to the 40 Acres.
  2. If this offense carries over into the season, they could go all the way. This season will be the 40 year anniversary of Texas WBB winning their first and only natty.
  3. How is their perimeter shooting looking?
  4. That was my thought process, too. At first I was thinking they'll have Manning for 2 more years, Lacey for two years, then Bell for two years. However, when Ewers returned for last season, that most likely means Arch for two years (with Owens portaling out after this upcoming season), Lacey a one and done, then Bell for two years. I can see why (along with a much bigger NIL offer) Bryant would consider a school other than Texas and Texas ends up taking a Trey Owens type of QB prospect and allocating more money to OL, DL, and DB in the 2027 cycle. Plus more money to allocate to a top QB prospect in the 2028 cycle. Imo it's too early to see how the QB situation plays out after the Manning years. You also have to wonder besides possible injuries how long Sark sticks around after 2026 as well. Fingers crossed it all works out and Texas gets fantastic QB play for the rest of the 2020s and beyond on the way to hopefully one of the best periods in Texas football history.
  5. My first thought is does this increase the chances of Malakai Lee flipping to Texas?
  6. No, I’d rather see Texas win all four of those games and have a WTF loss against Kentucky, Mississippi State, or Vanderbilt similar to how Notre Dame lost to Northern Illinois but still went on to play for a national championship.
  7. I don't think he will be suspended for any games after Kent State, if he ends up being suspended at all. If it is proven he was indeed gambling almost three years ago on games and then lied about that in the statement his PR team put out yesterday, he should be suspended for lying about it imo. But he won't miss the back half of the schedule that determines BV's (and the OU football program's) fate. If OU takes action themselves, they think MHJ is good enough with BV's defense to win them at least one of the Michigan and/or Auburn games. They could think suspend him for now and bring him back for Dallas with no film of him playing in actual games at OU.
  8. Texas needs to win at least 3 national championships between this upcoming season and 2030 for this to become a serious discussion. I will say this - Sark has a chance to 3-peat in winning national championships. That would put him and the Longhorns in rarified air. Even Saban/Bama didn’t do that. They were a Chris Davis Kick Six and a Hunter Renfrow catch away from pulling it off. No matter how talented your roster is and how elite your coaching staff is, everything has to go your way for that to happen. The last team to 3-peat was Minnesota in 1934, 1935, and 1936.
