  1. Ohio State tomorrow, but hopefully Texas on and after September 12th…
  2. Ohio State for sure, but maybe Texas can change his mind on September 12th…
  3. And to think there were fans 20+ years ago that were upset Texas didn’t get Adrian Peterson. Jamaal Charles was a fantastic consolation prize and it ended up working out for both players in the end.
  4. Not an OTF livestream, but here it is.
  5. University Park, Texas or Austin, Texas?
  6. Coach Metzger already has beach volleyball humming too.
  7. Looks like a 12-6 or 13-5 type of SEC record to me. Hopefully that’s good enough for a top 4 finish in the SEC for the double bye in the SEC tournament and bodes well for them seeding wise in the NCAA Tournament.
  8. I know Pattie Ruth Taylor is the pitching coach, but who coaches the rest of the defense out of the three assistants?
  9. Look up their 2027 recruiting class rankings on 247 or On3/Rivals and you'll understand those reactions from their fanbase.
  10. Their 2006-07 team was really good, just ran into an even better Ohio State team in the Final Four with Greg Oden and Mike Conley Jr. (who is still playing in the NBA, btw)
  11. Love this matchup. Georgetown historically has been one of the better basketball programs. So many NBA Hall of Fame players have come from there. Not sure how they've fallen off so much in the last couple of decades. Still excited for this game.
  12. Swain made the right decision to not come back to Texas. Salute to him! Will be watching some Bulls games this upcoming season for sure.
  13. Imo, the city of Austin should not have any professional sports franchises. In this era of college athletics, The University of Texas Longhorns have every professional sport out there besides hockey (they do have a club team though). Surprised San Antonio was not selected for MLS over Austin. AUSL is an exception because it's new and is technically in Round Rock and not Austin proper.
  14. Probably, but in this era, any one of these pitchers could get a massive offer they can't refuse and be gone at the drop of a dime. But Texas spent big on player retention last offseason, and it obviously paid dividends. I think Texas will do everything they can to keep their homegrown players (Kavan, Henry, Martinez, and Stewart) for 2028. It will be a while before the AUSL $$$ can match or surpass NIL + Rev Share $$$ in college.
  15. With the 5x5 rule potentially passing, does this affect Texas' pursuit of one more big internationally to complete this roster? Would the staff decide it is not necessary and be more willing to play Coleman Elkins if needed?
