Pretty crazy that Wake Forest (3) shows up more than Blue Bloods like Miami (2), Texas (2), Florida State (1) and tied with UGA (3) and Notre Dame (3). granted, these were like the only 3 years that Wake Forest were good, but let’s ignore the cherry picking!

The ones I’ve noticed the most are Sikorsky and Robertson. Not saying anything about Baker, just that those two whiffing stunts have been very noticeable for me

Yeah not saying we are similar to them, the only point of bringing them up is to say that you only really need to put together your best football in the playoffs. Just gotta get there

Love this post. I think this sort of mindset has cropped up since NIL and transferring, since now it doesn’t feel like kids playing a game. the constant negativity is getting exhausting. Criticism is fine, but only focusing on that all the time is draining. I can get caught up in it too. But expecting perfection isn’t realistic. We are in as good of a spot as anyone in the SEC and clearly have the talent and shown flashes. we just need to survive to December and put it all together then (see 2024 OSU)

My third grade team had a kid like this. about 3 times a game we would hand it off, he would run 20 yards outside to the right, stop, run all the way back around to the left, stop then run all the way back to the right for a touchdown. must've covered 2.5 football fields a TD

Man I loved the effort by this team. D was awesome, definitely championship level. Very happy about how Arch responded after his boneheaded play. Could've very easily repeated our 3rd quarter woes but turned it around. But man, if I were a DC planning against Texas, I'd TE stunt every play. Sikorsky and Robinson are too slow with eyes, hands and feet to pick any of them up (aka they do nothing good on those plays). They were teeing us up. Someone cooler than me could put together an epic montage of whiffs from our GCGs on those plays this year. would probably be 10 mins long. Overall, happy with the result. Are we perfect? Far from it, but we just need to be good enough to make it to December and then put it all together there (see OSU 2 years ago). The pieces are clearly there, especially if we just stick to what we do good at.

hes been injured the past few weeks (though not on the injury report) so I'd guess injury. He did get a run or two today

Or keelon Russell, kamario, Carr, Sayin, etc. i think recruiting is still path 1, with the portal to patch when guys don’t hit. While it’s nice to go out and have a proven commodity, it’s not like xfers are 100% hits either. It all comes down to costs. my preferred strategy is have one 5 star guy recruited, surrounded by cheaper 3 and four stars (lotto tickets). Then be ready to go to portal if they don’t pan out. if it’s actually true that homegrown starters can be cheaper than the highest priced portal, then this would make sense. If they cost the same either way, then just get the best player. Is Arch costing more against UTs budget than leavitt? I wouldn’t think so, but he’s also unique in that brands are more willing to pay for his name outside of donor money

This is good stuff! What stands out to me is how important the '23 class was last year to the team. We lost a lot of great talent to the league that year (love seeing Manny ball out for my bears every week. Initially thought he needed to come back and be a 1st rounder but turns out he was more than ready) I think the 30-40% each year is a good sweet spot. Depending on where your holes are, development timelines, how our recruiting classes go, etc.

In the old system they would be done since they didn’t redshirt but now with everyone getting 5 I think they do
