    i was at dkr last night, but i watched the replay this morning. cdc needs to hire an investigator to find the tard who kept whistling into the parabolic microphone when ohio state had the ball. holy crap that was annoying.

    NIL dollars don’t catch passes, and connor robertson still can’t run block to save his life. i’ve been watching him on nearly every play and he’s a net negative. he makes the guards look worse.

    it’s reasonable to have a little “show me” baked in to a game like this. we’ve struggled against the buckeyes and georgia the last few years. we may have the potential, but per DKR, that just means we haven’t done it yet. i am cautiously optimistic. i’m ready to get down there!

    agree. i still have some heartburn about the running game. i'd feel better if we'd pushed texas state around more effectively.

    i was a junior at Texas. two of my roommates were ROTC kids. they were early risers and had the news on in the living room when it all happened. it was eery that day, looking up and noticing that there were no aircraft in the sky.

    not sure i'd trade WR groups just to pick up smith. in fairness, he's better than coleman and wingo, but there's only one of him, and while their other guys aren't scrubs, i think our group as a whole is better. i'd take our TEs over theirs, as well. the analysis was basically "we don't have any information, but...tOSU" i think our TEs will be a factor in this game.

    i apologize if i missed a discussion on this, but i just saw that ewers went 1-8 with a pick and a sack in the fins’ first preseason game. woof. i was hoping that he’d make a move this year…i just thought it would be in a different direction.

    casey hampton is 4-5 spots too low. he was absolutely dominant. i’d like to know where blake brockermeyer and dan neil ended up, along with tony brackens and a perpetually underrated bryant westbrook. westbrook should have won the thorpe, but teams were terrified of him and he was rarely challenged. he was better than jammer and ross in college, imo. injuries derailed his pro career.

    humphrey’s hit on kliff kingsbury after rob peters got knocked out of the game was brutal. he wrapped kliff up and the first thing to hit the ground was the back of kliff’s peanut head.

    we stopped there for dinner on our way back after the 00 game when simms carved them up like a thanksgiving turkey. a family in burnt orange and it was like we walked into the wake for e. king gill himself. they had a mural of the bonfire on the wall back then (still there?). it was hilarious.
