  1. And in no way did I watch that game and thought LSU played a sloppy game. I'm the opposite. Considering it was your first game of the season and on the road vs. a top 5 ranked team ... LSU didn't play "sloppy". They literally shut out Clemson at home in the second half. Not perfect, but not sloppy. LSU executed at a pretty high level in game one on the road in that environment against Clemson. If LSU had played a sloppy game on defense, they would have lost and given up 24-31 points against an offense as talented as Clemson. Instead, they executed at a pretty high clip. Offensively, had the two TO's, but if you watched the game, they executed a game plan really well. Had 25 first downs in the game and possessed the ball for 37 minutes . You don't do that playing "sloppy" against a quality opponent on the road.
  2. I agree with Brian Kelly on that one. LSU did dominate Clemson in the second half ... when you consider it was a talent neutralized game and LSU was on the road. They got hosed on a TD call, or it's 21-0 in the second half of the game. In a top 10 matchup, if the road team outscores you by 21 in a half, the home team got dominated in the second half IMO.
  3. SJSU Tuesday PC previewing Texas game https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J2ahTcTq5gU
  4. I think he was pretty basic at Ohio State, and that will continue next three games. When SEC starts, totally different
  5. Dont have concrete info on that yet I do know that the family understands there will be a needed development curve for Kavian. He’s close to a sandlot HS QB right now at the level he’s playing at. Too easy for him to just run around and make plays. Hes not having to actually play true QB right now in the context of what he will have to at next level
  6. Haven’t heard on that. I’ll check
  7. Per a family member, the 4-star++ QB out of Palestine Westwood is scheduled to visit Texas September 20 for the night game vs Sam Houston State And the RRS is also likely. And of course, A&M game (schedule dependent) Junior game one HUDL: http://www.hudl.com/v/2SZ9ud
  8. Love it! The best breakdown of the game from an Arch perspective
  9. Credited with 6 tackles, and 6 QB hurries
  10. Missed first two games with ankle injury http://www.hudl.com/v/2SXZ1K
  11. Should be … depending on what Sark wants to get out of this game
  12. Texas will run the football about as well as they desire Saturday unless SJSU just decides to play heavy box and give up 1v1’s and see if Arch hits guys for explosives
  13. Texas vs San Jose State Game Week Thread The Longhorns play host to San Jose State September 6 in the 2025 home-opener. TV: ABC 11 a.m. central San Jose State SJSU lost their season opener 16-14 to Central Michigan at home. CMU rushed for 247 yards at 4.9 per attempt. The CMU top two RB’s put up 201 yards of the 247 on 31 attempts. CMU totaled 362 yards on 63 plays. QB Walker Eget attempted 43 passes in the loss, and had two rough interceptions in the opener. Both were ill-advised throws. If he repeats decisions close to that September 6, Texas will likely get a pick six opportunity. Eget also had a lost fumble in the game. SJSU posted 383 yards on 67 offensive plays.
  14. Chick Fil A is open on Labor Day CB4 … I already made my trip!
  15. At WR … Will say Emmett Mosley is a future NFL guy. Got to get him healthy
  16. Arch will take the correct approach, and why he will ultimately be successful Stay with the process!
  17. I do want to see more QB development this season … for sure.
  18. Eget threw two horrific picks against CMU. If he isn’t a lot smarter with the ball in Austin … he could throw 3-4 INT’s
  19. Just me … but there were some key coaching changes impacting teams early season Clemson D will be better. Allen is a big upgrade at DC. They were bad last year. They will be competitive this year. But they don’t portal enough … see RB issues. Miami has new DC and multiple new starters at DB from portal. Stud LB from portal too. Bain is healthy too, which helps a lot for a new DC. They have 2-3 NFL draft picks on the DL. Their OL is terrific though IMO. Multiple NFL guys, including 1st round OT. Got one back from injury that missed all of 2024 too. I really like ND long term this season. Big fan of what I saw from CJ Carr in first ever game action. ND has that covered the next three years. They have talent at the right spots IMO, and a tremendous young coach. With that said, everyone will knock each other off throughout the season. And injuries can truly impact teams long term
  20. Totally disagree on Miami and ND. It will play out over the season 100% agree on Texas defense. Have been saying that repeatedly. But offense wasn’t just bad Saturday, it was 8-4/9-3 bad because of putrid passing game. Run game has chance to draw 7 to box and help as season moves along. How much Arch improves will tell the story. Hate to put so much on him, but he was that putrid in game one (against a top 5 talented roster)
