  1. 5-star John Meredith III back in Austin North Crowley 5-star cornerback John Meredith III will be back in Austin Thursday to take in another Texas spring practice. On the docket this trip is face t=to face time with Steve Sarkisian, as well as more time with Will Muschamp and Mark Orphey.
  2. I agree on that. Basketball is the most athletic sport of the big 3 ... by far Besides the constant run and jump, changing direction constantly on both ends, playing through the feet and hips on both ends every possession ... it'a totally different level of athletic stamina.
  3. Definitely a visitor on campus right now, if not two
  4. BTW, I'll take Isaiah Johnson over PJ Haggerty by end of the 2026-27 season - as an all-around player
  5. Good spot for him. RT's very solid as a defensive game planner, and recruiting
  6. @Joe Zurain the 3rd quarter of a CFP game
  7. Sucks for him. Damn good player
  8. Junior season HUDL http://www.hudl.com/v/2SqcPm
  9. 5-star visitor this week OnTexasFootball was the first to report that the staff was working on getting 5-star and No. 1 ranked wide receiver Monshun Sales (Indianapolis, In./Lawrence North) on campus this month on a first ever visit to Texas. OTF believes based on intel that the 6-5, 205-pounder with 4.37 wheels is scheduled to be in Austin this week (likely Wednesday & Thursday). Sales initiated the interest in Texas, and wide receivers coach Chris Jackson has been in constant contact prior to Texas offering recently. Ohio State and Indiana are the two schools mentioned the most headed into the visit later this week.
  10. Talented dude. Has to mature to maximize
  11. He was always going to play at 305-310. People were freaked out for zero reason
  12. John Turntine III note Was just told the freshman offensive lineman is up 30 pounds from senior season at North Crowley. Hovering around 295-298 right now. Has really come on second half of spring too. He’s repped at 2nd RT a lot. Hes even taken reps at guard and center (due to injuries). Reports are very positive out of Austin.
  13. 34-35% range second half of season after he gets acclimated
  14. And he signed 5 HS kids this class. These guys still want and need to have HS development players More roster balance over time
  15. Not a knock on Weaver, but Texas wants a different type of player long term. Teams didn't guard Weaver on the offensive end in the NCAA Tournament. Texas can't have that and get where they want to ultimately go. Texas has to have five players on the court that teams have to defend.
  16. The injury part is interesting. I've said a couple of times ... he had a non-contact knee injury scare around practice two or three this year. The initial reaction coming out of the building was they feared he could have season ending. It obviously wasn't, and was more of a scare. He has one more year of college hoops, so around 3 mill left while also taking into account what injury could do to draft stock. If you go in first round, 6-7 mill guaranteed and likely 13-15 on first contract.
  17. Maybe … but what if Rory had driven it well too? Rory was -12 after two rounds and 90th in driving accuracy
  18. Maybe be a combo forward type over small forward Looking at different options for best fit and need
  19. No way to know that right now He’s slightly ascending in mocks ahead of combine The NBA is the dream, and he’s got legit shot to stay in Talked to NBA scout of a team that won’t draft him (not position of need) over the weekend … that franchise has him as late first rounder right now. We shall see
  20. For anyone wondering if Punch will have a transition or if the SEC will provide something tougher for Punch next year ... I'm not one of those. Big 12 is very high level at the top, and with bigs and skilled 4's. Some of his games... 24 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 blocks, 1 steal vs. Kansas 19 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 blocks, 2 steals vs. Florida 17 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks, 2 steals vs. Wisconsin 20 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assists, 5 blocks, 1 steal at Kansas 10 points, 8 rebounds, 2 blocks, 2 steals vs Arizona 16 points, 5 assists, 1 block vs. Houston 16 points, 13 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 blocks in NCAA Tournament vs Ohio State Had some tougher games too, but overall vs. NCAA Tournament teams he averaged: 12.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.9 blocks, 1.0 steals in 13 games
