    Things are moving in the right direction with Justus Terry returning for year two, per a source tonight. OTF believes the freshman from the Peach State wants to return to Texas. Like others, we will wait for an official announcement by the player.

    If it happens, it will be the first time in Miller's career he didn't lead a program he coached at to the second weekend of the tournament. So far, he's 3 for 3. Maybe he will end up 3 of 4. Or maybe he will end up 4 of 4. Time will tell.

    UConn has a much bigger basketball budget than Texas. St. John's too (they don't play football) to name two. Illinois is more than competitive in basketball. UCLA is very competitive in basketball (pretty much a basketball school at heart). Florida similar to Texas. Why Todd Golden had to build his program over a three year period (not predicting Texas to win an NC to be clear, as no coach ever has at Texas). He was tremendous in evaluation at HS level that didn't require huge NIL spends at the time. Now he's having to get in the high-level NIL battles, and we shall see if they are equipped long term. If not, he will leave in time IMO

    So did UConn, so did Florida, so did St. John's, so did Ole Miss, so did Illinois, so did UCLA Honestly, probably better for you to not watch or care. It doesn't feel healthy for you to watch program builds in hoops.

    It's not about what you have, it's about where the NIL average spend has gone in hoops. Kentucky, Duke, Louisville and some others are about twice as much as Texas right now. Others are 60-70% more than Texas. That's not an excuse for Texas players fouling on three freaking 3-pointers tonight too, however. Dumb plays that cost games.

    lol I will be. If Texas can't step up from an NIL perspective, it won't matter who is coach at Texas in the future. That's a bottom line.

    Now that's a different discussion ... I'll never forget there were about 2,500 fans in the Erwin Center for Kevin Durant's first game at Texas. KD played 15+ games before many Texas fans realized there was a future all-time great wearing the uniform.

    lmao Sean Miller will win at Texas. Here's a list of coaches that didn't make the NCAA Tournament in year one in the portal era... Todd Golden at Florida, Danny Hurley at UConn, Nate Oats at Alabama, Rick Pitino at St. John's, Chris Beard at Ole Miss, Mick Cronin at UCLA, the angry guy at Illinois, etc..

    But he's an SEC level player. To say he's not, is just wrong. All I'm saying is that people want to say a guy isn't an SEC level player ... he's literally got about 1,000 points, had huge games in the SEC and has been recruited by multiple SEC schools twice. Doesn't mean he's great, but he's an SEC level player
