  1. Dan Lanning recruits with more effort at the head coaching position than anyone, maybe with the exception of Kirby Smart. His effort is truly relentless
  2. So I guess the models are saying the Ohio Valley trough won't have the timing to pull Beryl back towards the north?
  3. I'm going to introduce a young skill guy out to the the OTF YouTube community ... Makorien Doore
  4. All comes down to pass pro for DJ Campbell ... he was a slip second slow off the ball too much in 2023 to translate to a high-end draft pick ... but was still a fist year starting guard. how much he ascends will tell the story this season IMO. Being lighter by 15 pounds will be beneficial as a whole too I believe
  5. Still a Cat 4 after beating the shear is kind of wild ... I say beating the shear because a lot of the models/forecasters were saying Cat 2/1 coming off coast of Jamaica
  6. He's such a wildcard recruit because of the visits being all over the place ... in terms of parents making some, and not others ... dad lives in Mississippi and mom in Mesquite (she has younger child considerations too)
  7. left tackle frame and athleticism
  8. Alfred should be a top 3 round draft pick ... see if he can finally get there
  9. Missouri and Texas are the two hearing most ... Rogers really likes Missouri ... mom may not want him that far
  10. This is pretty accurate
  11. Texas players that could go top 2-3 rounds after this season ... if they have ascending seasons IMO LT Kelvin Banks Jr. QB Quinn Ewers WR Isaiah Bond RT Cameron Williams EDGE Ethan Burke TE Amari Niblack DL Alfred Collins Draftable types ... S Andrew Mukuba RG D.J. Campbell RB Jaydon Blue EDGE Barryn Sorrel Late round/FA ... C Jake Majors DL Tia Sevea
  12. Was just told by a person close to Brandon that he is announcing his decision July 5th ... not the 4th as it was yesterday
  13. Just IMO, the DL recruiting prior to this year was also impacted by the timing of Bo leaving for LSU Texas with D'antre Robinson, Alex January and Melvin Hills with Jamaree Caldwell (was committing prior to his departure) + spring portal would have had a different look.
  14. lmao good stuff! Tough to do with all the NFL draft picks he's coached
  15. If Beryl heads in 30 miles south of Brownsville ... huge rain event for SPI to Corpus and up into the lower Hill Country IMO 40-60 miles one way or the other will make all the difference, as it normally does with landfalls. If it comes in 20-30 miles north of SPI ... a stronger storm and effects will be felt more heavily up into the Houston area (Lake Livingstong dam is already on the brink).
  16. I too believe he will be a riser with a good season at ND ... he's got 1st round draft pick ability, we shall see if he gets there.
  17. There is zero excuse for Texas, or Texas A&M for that matter, to not recruit and sign future NFL draft caliber prospects at OL, WR, DB and EDGE out of the state of Texas on an annual basis. DL is very interesting ... the state is not currently a producer of that same level of guys at DL... it's what makes the Georgia job the best in CFB right now ... the Peach State is producing size and speed at every position, and has Florida neighboring the south. Texas has to battle nationally for DL's - in terms of what they are looking for. With that said, Texas A&M and LSU will sign DL's out of Texas in the 2025 cycle the Horns passed on pursuing.
  18. Is it make or break ... no. But perception does always matter in recruiting. Texas doesn't want to have to battle that, so they have to sign highly ranked classes and develop those players for future NFL drafts.
  19. If it’s Texas … that will be Brandon going out on his own totally LSU has very legit shot. That remains the favorite for at least one person in the circle Oklahoma has a shot.
  20. Per a person close to the recruitment of Melbourne (Fla) Eau Gallie 4-star DL Brandon Brown, he is likely to announce a final decision July 3, 4th or 5th.
  21. I’m all up in this site … https://yaleclimateconnections.org/2024/07/category-4-beryl-rips-through-the-windward-islands/
