  1. Parker Livingstone for a TD?
  2. Sarkisian would have liked some calls back like any OC. What I’m saying is he dialed up enough to win if we executed.
  3. Sorry that’s just stupid. Texas was inside the 10 twice and had plays to score. Ohio State crossed the 50 twice. You had 203 yards. If our guys would have simply kept their hands from a facemask you don’t score one of your TD’s and we get a safety plus the ball. Hope we see you in the playoff.
  4. Disagree with this guy about the gameplan. Texas had 2-3 chunk plays that were set up but Manning couldn’t deliver. That would have completely changed the narrative some of this game. Opening play would have been at least a 25 yard play. Manning spiked it. Moore was open with separation. The next was the rub concept on 3rd down to Wingo late in the 4th. That play was set up to the shallow or even the rail. Moreso the shallow which is where it was designed. Texas is easily inside the 30 and Wingo would have been 1v1 with the safety. I like that matchup. Finally, the play inside the 10 with another rub concept where Manning went to Livingstone instead of an open Wingo on a slant route that was well designed. Wingo gets in or is at the 1. Those are 3 monster plays that were just fine from a schematic standpoint that would have put points on the board or put Texas in scoring position. Manning didn’t deliver. Coaches can only put players in position. Sark did that in those instances.
  5. LSU Ohio St Miami Texas Clemson ND
  6. I didn’t like the 1st half gameplan as much as the 2nd half. With that said, the opening play should have been a 20 plus yard play and Arch grounded it. There were throws that were there and Manning simply didn’t make the correct read or couldn’t complete the throw. Sark has to bear some of the responsibility but players have to make plays. I think everyone thought Manning had a higher floor than that. Apparently he doesn’t and the climb will be steeper than anticipated.
  7. Wingo looked pretty fast
  8. Didn’t watch but didn’t expect Arch to be that uncomfortable that long. His lack of accuracy and touch on easy throws like mesh was surprising. He missed on some reads as well not understanding down and distance. He did play better as the game wore on. He’s human and felt the pressure. His learning curve will be steeper than we all assumed or thought. It blindsided me for sure. I expected more from being in his 3rd year and 3rd start.
  9. We’ll agree to disagree then. Klubnik is better at avoiding pressure at this stage and he is really fast.
  10. Let me stop you on Klubnik. That dude ran for his life from pressure. LSU came after him constantly with blitzes from all over. Arch, OTOH, just flat missed guys on several occasions. Arch would have been sacked by LSU so many times it wouldn’t have been funny. Clemson had no run game and their Oline isn’t anything special. Just keeping it real.
  11. Sark the play caller needs help. I like him as a program bolder a whole lot more. He needs his Johnny Nanson because it’s not working for us to win a championship. His offense is the let down now. The defense hasn’t let us down since probably the CFP in NO. Since then the defense has been very good. Nanson and now Akina have been inserted and give heavy input. PK’s side of the ball is stronger. My respect for him goes daily with the humility he shows. Sark needs someone that will provide input but he has to be willing to receive it. Neal Brown would be a great start.
  12. Arch got glazed like no other QB has in a long time. So disappointing.
  13. Finebaum is looking for a boulder to hide under after the glazing he did of Manning.
  14. Good stuff Gerry. No fluff, says it the way it is. I didn’t expect a prime time Arch but I did think I would see a competent one. It was borderline unwatchable at times. So disappointing after being in the system three years and the hype he was playing well in camp. I thought the gameplan wasn’t good. I’m surprised they never went empty just to simplify reads and clear the field up. It also would have gotten the ball out quickly. Arch never got in a rhythm. Today blindsided me. Nothing what I expected at all. Texas had every chance to win and blew a golden opportunity because the defense/punter are elite.
  15. I was blindsided by this. I didn’t expect perfection but competent play. Texas couldn’t complete a forward pass for long stretches. The gameplan was hideous especially when you have all off season. I went from thinking we have one of the best QBs in the land, to do we have one at all.
  16. Defense and punting was elite
  17. Terrible defense maybe it’s not over. Blowing a coverage in this situation wasn’t on my bingo card. The safety sheesh that’s bad.
  18. Gonna be tough to comeback now. Hoping KState would win.
  19. I don’t know about Sproles but Blue is/was a dude. We will miss him BUT I think Clark is going to surprise this year to some. He has some Bijan to him and I’ve thought that the moment I saw his film in HS. He will be tough to corral in space. He doesn’t have Blue’s acceleration but I think he has the ability to make people miss and better contact balance.
