  1. He has the only unit that I’m concerned about. He has all his players now in his 5th season. I hear about experience but Robertson, Campbell, Neto and Hut are all 4th year guys. Goosby is our best player. Baker, while young, is also the highest rated as a 5 star. We didn’t bother with the portal. So we haven’t developed as well or we didn’t have a handle on how this group would perform. I just don’t see a lot of excuses for him and this group.
  2. Still stunning to me we didn’t portal an Olineman or two. Honestly everything put a good taste in my mouth but that position and maybe Niblett in the return game. They are going to be greatly tested in the next two weeks by Fla and OU. Good thing Arch can run.
  3. Ou did a modified version of hideout which you can’t do in today’s game with the sub rule. They knew it and practiced it. Can’t believe Stoops was dumb enough to say they worked on it in practice. Surprised as a former coach he had that slip of the tongue.
  4. I hear what you are saying. I really do. But do you honestly think Sarkisian has the balls to bench a Manning. Sorry I don’t.
  5. Repeat this after me….Arch Manning will not get benched. No chance. You better pray he figures it out. That is the contingency plan.
  6. You unfortunately have to give them credit. No one saw Reed being considerably better than Manning. They have better receivers, running backs and Oline. In one offseason it’s happened. Texas grossly miscalculated their talent and didn’t hit the portal at WR and Oline enough. There isn’t a single spot where Texas is better than Aggy on offense with Steve Sarkisian as HC. That’s mind blowing.
  7. Um Lockett was a 5 star. Ffrench was right there. Wingo was a 5 star. They are young but the one outperforming was a guy that was less heralded in PL. The difference is we didn’t get more in the portal. A&M changed their whole offense getting Craver and Conception Texas needed more and didn’t do it.
  8. The defense has been better since the playoff loss to Washington. Since then Texas added Nanson and they haven’t looked back. PK is outperforming Sarkisian and his offense. The difference is Sarkisian won’t get help on that side and PK has constantly adapted and involved other voices.
  9. It’s not broken because it’s never been put together. The move of not going to the portal looks inexcusable right now. Texas needs help at WR and Oline. Speaking of Oline we couldn’t impose our will on Texas El Paso. Embarrassing.
  10. We should be. He’s arguably the worst QB in the SEC.
  11. Dumb article considering he played better yesterday and had good stats. Now if you want to criticize the Oline, penalties, or relative weak play at WR have at it.
  12. It was an uneven performance. Texas just hasn’t been what I thought they would be. Texas is and will be a work in progress. The Oline wasn’t impressive and the WR spot leaves something to be desired at the moment. Texas doesn’t have a running back that can do damage. I’m not impressed with this team. They better get it together because I just don’t see them being where they or we want them to be.
  13. Parker Livingstone for a TD?
  14. Sarkisian would have liked some calls back like any OC. What I’m saying is he dialed up enough to win if we executed.
  15. Sorry that’s just stupid. Texas was inside the 10 twice and had plays to score. Ohio State crossed the 50 twice. You had 203 yards. If our guys would have simply kept their hands from a facemask you don’t score one of your TD’s and we get a safety plus the ball. Hope we see you in the playoff.
  16. Disagree with this guy about the gameplan. Texas had 2-3 chunk plays that were set up but Manning couldn’t deliver. That would have completely changed the narrative some of this game. Opening play would have been at least a 25 yard play. Manning spiked it. Moore was open with separation. The next was the rub concept on 3rd down to Wingo late in the 4th. That play was set up to the shallow or even the rail. Moreso the shallow which is where it was designed. Texas is easily inside the 30 and Wingo would have been 1v1 with the safety. I like that matchup. Finally, the play inside the 10 with another rub concept where Manning went to Livingstone instead of an open Wingo on a slant route that was well designed. Wingo gets in or is at the 1. Those are 3 monster plays that were just fine from a schematic standpoint that would have put points on the board or put Texas in scoring position. Manning didn’t deliver. Coaches can only put players in position. Sark did that in those instances.
  17. I didn’t like the 1st half gameplan as much as the 2nd half. With that said, the opening play should have been a 20 plus yard play and Arch grounded it. There were throws that were there and Manning simply didn’t make the correct read or couldn’t complete the throw. Sark has to bear some of the responsibility but players have to make plays. I think everyone thought Manning had a higher floor than that. Apparently he doesn’t and the climb will be steeper than anticipated.
  18. Wingo looked pretty fast
  19. Didn’t watch but didn’t expect Arch to be that uncomfortable that long. His lack of accuracy and touch on easy throws like mesh was surprising. He missed on some reads as well not understanding down and distance. He did play better as the game wore on. He’s human and felt the pressure. His learning curve will be steeper than we all assumed or thought. It blindsided me for sure. I expected more from being in his 3rd year and 3rd start.
  20. We’ll agree to disagree then. Klubnik is better at avoiding pressure at this stage and he is really fast.
  21. Let me stop you on Klubnik. That dude ran for his life from pressure. LSU came after him constantly with blitzes from all over. Arch, OTOH, just flat missed guys on several occasions. Arch would have been sacked by LSU so many times it wouldn’t have been funny. Clemson had no run game and their Oline isn’t anything special. Just keeping it real.
